Harry's take on the old NSX. God, that noise!

Funny how on some men, beards just make them look like they're homeless. Lucky bugger to have that garage to emjoy though.
Re the NSX, the new one just doesn't do the looks of the old one justice and is a bit too generic supercar in places. Still, going by the looks of the new Civic it could have been a lot worse!

If I had that much money, I wouldn't care how I looked. Hell, I don't care that much now!
I saw a new NSX at Le Mans on the Honda stand. It looks pretty good TBH. I really enjoyed that video because I'd haven't really paid the old one that much attention. The interior put me off too much, but when he puts his foot down - ooh, hello! The induction noise is addictive.

I noticed too that I recognised the sponsor then remembered I did a Health and Safety audit at their office in Dudley. I think I've been doing my job too long!

The content of the garage are obviously marvellous but the building itself is just a shed. Needs a bit of dressing up to be the ultimate man cave.

I would be wanting a glass walled room in the corner with TV, sofa, bar, pool table etc. to relax in and look at the contents.

Why do you want to look at a glass box full of a TV, sofa, bar and pool table?

He has done a couple of adventures across the Pyrenees on enduro bikes. I was discussing this with my Land Rover green laning friends and we all agreed it would be an epic green lane trip.
Both of these videos are quite long but I really enjoyed them.

He's done alright for a farmer who pulled a fast one to finance a car mag...

Funny how on some men, beards just make them look like they're homeless.
There's a news report on the BBC website that Chuck Glazer - part of the disgraced FIFA executive until recently - has died. There's a man who has a beard and looks homeless!!
I have a feeling Harry Metcalfe's farm isn't actually all that big, possibly under 500 acres?

I don't know what it's like in Scotland but 500 acres is a reasonable sized farm in England.

I know a couple of farmers who're managing 250-350 acres but they only appear to be able to run a Mitsubishi L200, not a fleet of supercars

Depends what you're farming and they spend their money on. The farmer over the road from me is on about 400 acres and also has an L200 and a Volvo V40. I know for a fact they have over £2million in the bank. Another farmer friend up the road is on a slightly larger farm who uses an full fat Range Rover like a pick up and whose other transport is an aeroplane that he keeps at home.

Farmer in our village has several thousand acres. He also has 5000 sheep. Economies of scale. He runs a Bentley Continental Convertible, RR Silver Shadow, P38 Range Rover and a fleet of Defenders. His son has. Bentley T2, FFRR, Honda Civic, Ford Cortina and a fleet of Ford Rangers.
The shed is full of tractors and other interesting vehicles - he disposes of nothing.

Agree completely. He comes across really well, doesn't try too hard and the enthusiasm for what he is doing is clear.
The new NSX. Marginally disappointing. It still sounds good, but I think I would take he old one.

As a teenager one of the producers of the old Top Gear lived in the village and took me out in a Honda NSX that they had on test - the noise it made brought back some happy memories

I met Metcalfe at the FoS one year - we were mutually drooling over a very early Countach. Charming man.

He showed Dan and I around the Project 8 this year and we then chewed the fat about various cars for 20 minutes. Lovely bloke as you say.

I've started to work through his videos on YouTube and I thoroughly enjoy them. Next time I take a trip to Bath to take/collect Heidi from uni, I might divert off the Fosse Way and take in some of Harry's local routes.

True. I had planned to have a trip to the Evo Triangle earlier this year, with a 4am start to get there and drive it before any traffic (police) appeared. Sadly it didn't happen.
