No doubt he's as quick as anyone and probably only max would keep him honest in the current environment. Looks like he has that consistent pace to break good team mates. Too bad Lando didn't take the second seat at RB. That would be the end of that Bromance between the 2 drivers.

It's grown a fair bit over the years, but some of that is due to not offering a narrow body option and the 992 is still only as wide (inc mirrors) as a MK7 Golf. Really? I'm amazed at that.

Struck out today, I was convinced it was something from that nice chap Lee in Leicestershire. I'm embarrassed to say I haven't a clue what one of these is.

Bloody brilliant result. Nice to see all the other drivers being genuinely happy for Lando.

Loving the open top one and a plexiglass nose is a great retro nod. It looks huge though, one for the mean streets of Dubai or LA rather then rural UK.

I went to check the status of my old Porsche 993. I was upset to find out that its MOT ran out in 2022 with no further update. On investigation, it turns out the car is in the process of having 350K spent on a restomod.

Are we sure he's off to another team. At 65 he's done his graft and a rather nice sailing yacht awaits his use. By all accounts Horner had to talk him into extending his contract last time and having read various reports, it does seem he's lost a bit of passion for the sport. Only Ferrari and Aston can afford him and its at least a 5 year commitment. Hasn't Eddie Jordan recently become his manager, if that is the case why would he need a manager if he was retiring! Isn't that just the weirdest thing. EJ must be the Columbo for F1. He just comes across as a bumbling fool and I can't believe the genius that is Newey, has hired his services. But he's extracted Adrian from his current RB contract so I guess I'm wrong. Maybe Adrian's got his eyes on Mrs Newey4.0 and could do with the money.

I really can’t get on with the 992 rear end after the 991 was so right. I thought I’d have got used to it by now but despite a couple of dads on the school run having them familiarity has not changed my opinion. 911s are lush though. Funnily enough I really wasn't a fan when the 992 was launched. I preferred the looks and interior of the 991 but familiarity has warmed me to the 992. Or is it just a case that as everything surrounding me in the car world has got more and more ugly the Carrera has mellowed into an attractive shape.

You could certainly do a lot worse.

We can say enough is enough and the USA probably aren't far off. But the last time the US experienced a similar terrorist attack they dragged us all into a 20 year war in the middle east for zero gain so we're probably not in a place to offer such sound advice.

I tried Argo/Italian, Swiss, Italian. I knew the manufacturer in one but those lights and really had me head scratching. If it was a normal one of these it would have been easy. What is this Bertone or Zagato bodied?

Off to Ferrari is my guess, he's always wanted to work for them and also with Hamilton, makes you wonder with Hamilton moving to Ferrari next year (if Newey is going there) whether Hamilton knew all along about Newey going there too which swayed him to sign for them. You can already see the changes with the team since Fred has gone in, could he be building a team in the Todt/Brawn/Schumacher vein! Right people just 5 years too late to the party. Hamilton's hardly a spring chicken and Newey's 65. Both keep telling us how much they want to do other things in their lives but seem stuck in the F1 circus.

I would guess Aston as they’ve in the process of building the greatest wind tunnel created by a formula 1 team. I think Stroll is prepared to do whatever it takes and write out a cheque with a lot of zeros on it.
Love how the beeb are reporting it has more to do with Horner than the money.

Sounds like (from Smith and Sniff) Alpine loaned a few cars out for journo’s to drive to Goodwood. Was that from their drunken podcast? Can’t believe they released that one.

So, Milano no longer and not Tychy either, but not far off…. The Alfa Romeo Milano was revealed just last week as the Italian marque's very first pure electric vehicle, but it seems the Italian government wasn't too keen on its name. As a result, the new compact SUV has been renamed entirely to 'Junior' before the first cars had a chance to hit the road.
In an official press release, Alfa Romeo confirmed that despite the firm believing the Milano name met all legal requirements, a government official declared the use of the Milano name illegal. The logic behind this ruling is that the new model will be produced in Poland, contravening a law that prohibits the sale of products with Italian-sounding names that aren't produced in Italy. I gotta say, I quite respect the Italian government for that one. If you can't call fizzy wine Champagne then you can't call a Polish built Peugeot a Milano. It triggers the Daily Mail reader in me.

That MPG figure of 61 has blown my mind. Seems there is life in the diesel still. Something our lawmakers should keep in mind. A tiny petrol engine mated to a few batteries isn't the answer in many cases.
I'm another fan of many things Skoda. A VRS one of these would be all the car I'd need.

Very pretty. All my cars are particularly filthy at the moment! Thought of you yesterday - we went to the Members Meeting at Goodwood and walked past at least six Yaris GRs in the carpark, four of which were a sort of wine red colour. We made the same comment in the carpark, it seemed to have all the Alpines ever made and many of the GR Yaris.
