Tempted now you can't get an F-Type anymore?
You could certainly do a lot worse.

I really can’t get on with the 992 rear end after the 991 was so right. I thought I’d have got used to it by now but despite a couple of dads on the school run having them familiarity has not changed my opinion.
911s are lush though.

Funnily enough I really wasn't a fan when the 992 was launched. I preferred the looks and interior of the 991 but familiarity has warmed me to the 992. Or is it just a case that as everything surrounding me in the car world has got more and more ugly the Carrera has mellowed into an attractive shape.

I didn't realise that was green until it said it n the video.
A friend has a silver one and I can never get over how wide the backend is.

The rear has grown on me as well, but it would still have to be a Sports Design Pack car, as they look great imo. I like the 991 interior, but it looks pretty dated now and would feel it even as the daily is a generation (two for the infotainment) newer.
Prices are coming down, that’s good value vs 12 months ago.

£81,995 I think However to put that in perspective, the car is now 5 years old and would have cost c£112,000 when new (I know someone who bought a new 911S around that time with sunroof and that's what he paid)

I think the arse is the best bit – 992s look epic from the rear ¾ view
And to answer Ed’s earlier question – this is the 911 problem that I struggle to get my head around, 75% of the new price for a 5 year old one is mental (and that’s outside an OPC without the warranty).
As magnificent to behold as they are, they are not made by angels from unobtanium and neverbreakium.

This is why I bought a new Macan. There was just not a big enough price difference between a new one and a 3yr old one.
And prices are continuing to climb. The RRP (with options) on my Macan GTS has gone up 9% in the 14mths I've had it (from just shy of £79k to just shy of £86k).
When I bought mine, Gentian Blue was a standard metallic shade priced at £685. It's now listed as a "Dreams" shade at £1,185... Copper Ruby, which I also considered, is now a "Legends" shade at a mere £2,250.
The base metallics (now £741) are white, silver, grey and black...so basically colour costs...

Porsche will continue to squeeze every penny they can out of their ICE models while people will pay it - the whole group needs the profits. I have a feeling the ICE ban and Chinese supplier explosion is going to be very bad for the European car industry - all those jobs making engines and gearboxes and so on, will not instantly translate into batteries.
For recent Porsche owners, its pretty good news! Unless you bought electric of course.
I like the rear of the 991 and 992 - the best part of the car in my book (997's still look great from the front and front 3/4, good news for me as the Boxster looks very similar). Nothing wrong with a wider rear end if its shapely, in my book..... The whole car has lost the "small enough for UK B Roads" feel however, its really not a delicate thing any more, is it?

It's grown a fair bit over the years, but some of that is due to not offering a narrow body option and the 992 is still only as wide (inc mirrors) as a MK7 Golf.
