Preferably by a Chieftain tank that has been parked in the same space, only straight!

Not the first time this has happened, but the first time it has directly impacted on me; I was coming back from the dogs' tea-time walk, but this had been here for at least an hour before that (according to Herself, who had returned from a night away round about then). If it happens again, words are going to be had. The snooty little cow who drives it doesn't even live there any more, her dad has an Evoque (leased, we think) and a 10-ish year old TT he parks on the kerb (it's just visible at the rear-end of the Cashcow) which would easily fit on his drive behind the Evok. The wife told us a while ago the TT is "his baby", but he won't park it on his drive incase our next door neighbour's friend parks there when he visits - which is about 3 times a year!! Anyway, the picture .. .. .. different sided dice

Walk over the garden to get by.
Send that photo to your local beat team. Hopefully they will get a visit.

Do people like that care though? Usually to be found getting upset because I tell them to park more responsibly (And not damage my car) saying, "It's just a car". A reason for parking as far away from the stupor market entrance as I can get.

Never happen here. Walk over the garden to get by. Send that photo to your local beat team. Hopefully they will get a visit. We have local beat cars in our estate once in a blue moon; I'm told there are so few around at present we're lucky to have more than 4 officers on shift on week nights. Can't see them making this a priority on a quiet Sunday. Of note, the driver of the 3-series is the only one in the whole street who parks properly, in the road!! His drive only fits one car and his wife's A3 is usually in it.

I think he works for BT, as there is often a BT van there at the weekends. I'll be snapping that to send to them next, I think.

The positive side of special parking and amazingly nobody parked next to us. The XJ replacement is long overdue, looks very dated now even next to an old XFR.

The black rear pillar makes no sense unless the rest of the car is black and the fact that the top edge is not parallel with the bottom, let alone the road just makes it look clumsy. I can’t see that it sells enough for a company of JLR’s size and current financial state to be able to afford to design a new version.

A few weeks ago I came in to work to be confronted by this MINI parked right across the entrance to our valet bay, in there were 2 cars, one of which we needed to get out. I went and got the wheel dollies and with my colleague we proceeded to start to jack it up to shift, halfway through setting them up, the young lady owner came out, apparently I have attitude, the fact that it clearly states "NO PARKING" which I pointed out to her, was lost on her. Any way she finally moved, after taking an age to fart about on purpose. Happened last week too with another car, which we shifted, the owner came out about half an hour later when my colleague was out there, to find his car had been moved, my colleague said he looked a bit perplexed as his car wasn't where he left it; he had a word with him and apparently he didn't realise! It is becoming a bit of a problem lately with that area, there are flats and no specific parking for them so people just abandon their cars wherever and the landlady, who we have contacted to ask that she tells her residents about where they can and can't park, couldn't give a monkeys!

Why don’t you paint no parking or extend the orange lines in front of the garage doors? People will still be selfish/stupid but you’ll catch some of them as they won’t be able to miss it.

And administer a £150 release fee which you'll agree to halve if they fuck off and never come back (unless they want to buy a Renault!).

I know it seems extreme but, you have a business to run and there are always going to be pratts taking the piss. If someone makes a genuine mistake perhaps a warning but the rest should pay.

No idea. I'm still baffled as to why they didn't install those steel bollards nearer the road!

The best blue badge car I have seen was a 911 turbo, a few years ago now. A lightweight folding wheelchair went into the passenger side, it made my day what with comments at times about disability scooters etc.

New builds with insufficient parking? Seems to be an increasing problem and the issues then fall at the feet of the police to sort out. Like there's time and resources for such stuff that was initially preventable.

Like there's time and resources for such stuff that was initially preventable. That really grinds my gears as well. I've looked at a number of new build developments recently that looked lovely on plan but when you get there there are cars parked all over. Building anything these days with parking for only one vehicle is madness and just encourages anti-social parking. I remember when they built Newcastle Great Park it was only given the nod by 2 Jags John Prescott if parking was limited to 1.5 spaces per home and they all got a free bike. Go down there now and you can't move for cars parked on the pavement.

There seems to be a growing movement to attack car ownership and reduce parking. Take the speed governing devices due to be made active in 2022, how long before only cars with these devices are allowed on motorways and then dual carriage ways? I could not see myself trusting these people to run a free drinks session in a pub with no till.

Where are all the cars coming from, though? When I moved to the town I live in it was easy to drive around and now it's really difficult because of cars parked everywhere, but there aren't any more houses, just more cars parked outside them. It can only be couples who buy a three bed place with one parking space, have two cars and a work van then have two kids who both grow up and get their own cars. That's just selfishness.

Go down there now and you can't move for cars parked on the pavement. Our estate is just like that. All houses have two spaces but for most one of these is the garage which is either too small for the SUV they’ve bought or is full of the junk that they can’t be bothered to put in the loft (I admit I once deluded myself that the wife would one day stop being a hoarder so I can see how it happens). The upshot is that most two car households have one car on the drive and one half on the pavement because the road is too narrow for two cars to pass and it gets worse if they have a grown up child who also has a car. And do they take account of there being a blind corner just after the spot they’ve parked or take account of the neighbour opposite who has also parked their car on the same bit of road? Do they fuck. Driving to where I live is like a bloody slalom course!
