You’ve moved since then haven’t you? I’d suggest large dogs as a security deterrent.

I have indeed - when house is finished it will need a big security upgrade - would love some dogs but not sure our lifestyle (outside of lockdown) suits it

I must admit this is something I’ve never considered. We have a house alarm but we never put it on, even when we go on holiday. I remember many years ago one of our Chinese neighbours was followed home from a Chinatown and the robbers got away with £10k as they kept money in the house but I’ve never heard of any home invasions since and we have a pretty good neighbourhood Facebook page. I don’t have any defensive weapons upstairs - apart from the missus!

Blimey, that is not nice.
I leave the keys downstairs as it just isn't worth the aggro, and whether my car is desirable or not is a matter of debate!
