Yes, I sold that before I bought the 110.

Re the blog, I like the way you sum up all the issues you had with the 90 in a couple of pithy, beautifully understated paragraphs.

Credit card has taken an absolute battering over the last couple of days.
Compressor, basic air tools (sprayer etc), paint, welder and associated kit all ordered and chassis paid for.
I've also ordered all the suspension and bushes. Just need to order a bolt kit and bulkhead repair panels along with new fuel tank, cradle, strap and sender. Ouch.

Parts for the car have. Tools haven't. As they shouldn't if you're using the correct version of man maths.

Basic air system set up. That's a 15m airline which will happily reach to the end of my drive connected to a 90 litre 14cfm 150psi compressor. Plenty for a nice even finish for paint and it could even run a decent air impact. I see myself investing in some more air tools at some point. Impact, die grinder and reciprocating saw are all high priority.

Be careful people don't start leaving their cars on your drive.

Excellent. Have you done much spraying before?

Excellent. Have you done much spraying before? Nope, but chassis paint and Land Rover enamels are fairly forgiving. I've used rattle cans to good effect (bonnet of the black Land Rover).

Haven't done any welding either. More practice needed.

We call that bird shit welding..๐
If you're going to be welding anything structural a welding course would be a good idea.

Haven't visited many farms then! ๐
Seriously, this was the first time I have ever picked up a welder and I bought it to refurbish the bulkhead.
The engine and gearbox mounts will need fully welding, but I may take those to the local engineering/fabricating guy who I've used before when I get them tacked in place.
I'll see how I get on.

Reminds me when I first learned to solder copper pipes ! I'm not bad at soldering pipes, but I hate doing plumbing in the house as the potential for damage is extreme if I cock it up. Saying that, I've cut and soldered several central heating pipes and they are all OK.

Good grief. Looks like the rust was holding it all together...... I was just coming back to post something similar! How long before you bought it was it being used on the road?

It has been off the road since 2017.
The sills are structural in that they hold the bodywork together. The C post where it joins the main sill is a known weak point as it gets hammered by muck from the rear wheels. That's why I bit the bullet and ordered fully galvanised ones at huge expense! The state of the rear body cross member is more worrying - how the rear floor hadn't collapsed, I don't know. The new chassis comes with a new galvanised crossmember.

Amazing. It looks like one of these warplane restorations - where they've fished it out from the bottom of a lake after 70 years and rebuild it to flying condition using as much original metal as possible.
The 2nd photo in your 90 thread - of it sitting on a small ford - is fantastic.
