We watched a film called "Father Stu" recently. I thought it was the best film I'd seen for some time and very moving too. Worth a watch, IMO We also watched Top Gun 2 which I thought was ridiculous but Mrs WW liked it

Clarksons Farm season 2, while I know that some of it is Clarksonised for viewing, I thoroughly enjoy it and think he’s doing a lot for farming, even by using it to show the problems and stupidity that farmers have to face when government gets involved.
Gerald and Kaleb are brilliant on it too.

The blacklist, catching up on why5 is a royal pain in the tuckus due to synching and lag. I reckon I have to pick better times during the day to do this.

All quiet on the western front is a superb film well worth watching . Watched it last night. Quite agree, it is a superb film. And yet deeply harrowing at the same time. The sheer unadulterated horror of the trenches in WW1 is brought to life so well.

Been watching Gold but getting annoyed every time I see DC Jennings Granada which must have had a time machine to arrive in the time it's set.

Watched 1899 on Netflix. Good and odd in equal measure. I think it might be from the same team that did Dark as well.

Thanks for that - it was in my list to watch.
In the interests of continuity, I've merged the "On The Telly" and the "Music" thread into this one as I didn't see the point of two or three very similar sticky threads.

It might help you to watch Dark twice. I sort of did that due to the gap between series - e.g. start watching series 2, can't remember what happened and rewatch series 1.

so much good tv recently.
The last if us had some fantastic episodes (episode 3 especially) ,Gold was very good as was SAS rogue heroes.I also started watching what we do in the shadows which is very good and I have no idea why I stopped watching it originally.Happy Valley is just fantastic ,another one I was late to the party with.
Musically I have got into Manchester orchestra (check out 'the silence' ) , the latest Ghost album is very strong as is the latest shinedown album. I also love Ren and 'hi ren ' but I think it is one of those you either love or hate and finally I may have mentioned it but MAmmoth WVH is a cracking album (Wolfgang Van halen Son of the mighty Eddie Van halen.)

I liked Everything everywhere all at once. I saw the female lead getting interviewed and she looked vary fanciable but much less so at times in the film but I suppose she was supposed to be ordinary Also on the fantasy line I liked "Every Day" about a body jumping soul and "The map of tiny perfect things" which is a sort of Groundhog day and "Looper" which I would recommend.
