I like Wheeler Dealers! Sadly I can only see the old ones as I no longer have Sky.

Not surprised, as Brewer never paid him in any episode. Poor guy must have been living in the corner of the workshop, behind the 4 post, surviving on cardboard boxes and gearbox oil.

Nick's last post:
Recent films
Rogue One - visually stunning, but somehow not that exciting, and the CGI Carrie Fisher was just weird
Suicide Squad - noisy, brain-out, fun
Morgan - like an Ex Machina 2 - though Kate Mara - mmmmm!
The Accountant - interesting idea, well realised
Books
Hidden Figures - amazing story, makes me want to see the film
Hanging Club - police procedural with an interesting hook
I Am No One - nice account of how one goes from normal existence to justified paranoia about who's watching you
The Woman Upstairs - no spoilers, just read it!
(Don't see how to make it a sticky - could someone oblige?)

Awaiting sticky-isation please:
Simon P to which Scouse replied 'bugger, wrong thread'. Got to admire the man!
After reading that the fat ginge makes a cool half mill for every gig she does I'm never paying big money to see live music again. Absolutely no fucking way would I pay £160 to go and see U2!

I am actually really enjoying the new series of Top Gear. The chemistry between Harris and LeBlanc is starting to gel. I actually like the piss taking of the celebrity too. It is a much better feature than it used to be.
The Bond themed piece was great.

Binge watched Iron Fist on Netflix last night. Enjoyable nonsense and a lot better than Luke Cage. The way all the series cross over is annoying, though. Daredevil was boring, but references are made to it and all the other Marvel characters, so it makes you feel like you need to watch everything to be in the picture.

Sorry to hear about Wheeler Dealers.
I only get to watch on Council telly in any case, so it's on Discovery or Quest through freeview and usually a year or two old.

My current favourite TV show is.........Lethal Weapon. I didn't think anyone could play the manic drunkard Riggs better than Mel Gibson did, but Clayne Crawford does an amazing job. Damon Wayans as Murtaugh is an inspired bit of casting. I've managed to watch the whole series before the 3rd episode has even hit our screens and I'm more excited that it has been given the green light for a second season.

I watched the first two and that was it for me. You could see why Fox passed on it. The castings of Riggs and Murtaugh are fine but the scripts and plots are terrible. In the second episode where Riggs managed, from a standing start, grab a pregnant woman on a building ledge and somehow propel them both across the street and through a window in the building opposite side of the road, then both stand up absolutely fine and walk off was laughable. Shark well and truly jumped. The whole grieving Riggs and Murtaugh with his stress issues carried a film or two, but can't carry off a whole series. I'm very surprised it's been renewed. I think we'll see it moved and then quietly dropped by ITV.

Suspension of belief, I reckon. It's not meant to be realistic, just like the films.

I'm trying to get into the The Walking Dead currently. Now that's suspension of belief. It seems they completely forget about the Zombie apocalypse for 50 minutes of each episode and then remember to cast thousands of walkers so we spend the rest of the time watching zombies being decapitated. Everyone goes on about how great it is but I'm struggling.

The Walking Dead gets so boring after a couple of series. It is just the same thing all over again.

We've never watched The walking Dead (feeling a bit zombied out to be honest!) but from what I've heard it starts out well but then descends into a relationship drama. Can't be bothered with that.
We watched 'The OA' on Netflix over the last few nights. It's quite good but feels dragged out, and leaves a lot of questions unanswered at the end, however I see it's getting a second series.

We have been watching The Following with Kevin Bacon. I am really enjoying it. It takes quite a bit to engage me in a TV show before I get bored and do something else.

Loved the following, it got a bit far fetched in later series but the first is epic.
I've got a new Amazon prime sub so could do with some recommendations.

We've been watching Billions on Sky Atlantic which has Paul Giamatti in it, great actor, and we've also been watching Vinyl - about the record industry in the mid 70s, just before Punk. Both very good.
