Would a Macan be sporty enough or lightly used 911 4s?
The TT RS would be an interesting alternative

Possibly this one can do that, but presumably it needs to then be on?
I would assume yours does as I think we have a similar model in different sizes. If you leave ours on the menu page (I think) it seems to default to the windows screensaver pictures, which are quite nice in the corner of the room

Mine's going to be a B-road blaster, a go-anywhere in all weathers and wet trackday car. It'll get plenty of use and it can do things that my other cars cannot do very well. Like go to B&Q? 😂😂

Just had a look and you’d need a MY17 car to get the later infotainment, but it’s only on the higher spec models (look for Touch Pro) which would stretch the budget to £19-20k+. This is the cheapest I can find, it’s another £5k but it’s a lot less than half the age as the one earlier in this thread, so is much better value. www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202010094790535?atmobcid=soc3I really liked the 2.2diesel when I had the Evoque and most gremlins will have been worked out on a 3yr old car. Just be careful the e models 2wd not 4wd

I have a Hermann Miller Mirra - cost £350 second-hand and it is amazingly comfortable - especially when I am in it 10hrs a day

That's bang on topic! I've had these installed today. Something I've been thinking about for a couple of years, but has become more important now I'm using the Golf more regularly...... It started off like buying a car, set a budget (based on a price on an advert) and as I got into it more, it kept going up. I drew the line at making them 'smart' through a control box with a SIM card (garage is a bit too far from the house for wifi), but they are electric, insulated and are pretty secure as the bottoms slats lock into plates bolted to the garage floor. Typical new(ish) build, the right hand door opening is 20mm wider than the left (unfortunately not the side the car goes in) and the middle pillar is about twice as deep as the outer ones so I couldn't tuck the doors behind the pillars without building work, so not quite as neat as I wanted, but still very happy. I can only assume that cost and speed of build are the reasons we don't see a single wide opening on UK double garages, on new builds at least. The pillar in the middle would massively annoy me. I think it is part of planning policy, I know I was going against it when I did my garage doot

Is that the going rate for a set of genuine alloys and winter tyres? I have to sell the 17s winter winter wheels/tyres for the Merc, they are goodyear winters with barely 2k on them in 4 years. Think the wheels and tyres cost me about £900

Salesman says AUC only requires tyre change if they’re under 3mm so it’s had 1 tyre due to a nail but all others are 4.6. I'd tell him he has lost the sale unless he puts a matching pair on

Sticking to original order, events changed which make the tax increase the least worse option.....of course it still needs it's emissions certificate so there is time for them to f**c it up further 😂

Sorry to hear that Bryan. It's the fact that it's so indiscriminatory that's clearly the issue. He has 3 kids 13-18, his wife and one daughter both got it with mild symptoms, youngest daughter not tested but asymptomatic and his son tested negative (assumption is also asymptomatic) Taste wise anything savoury taste like rotten veg and he chucks his guts up.. lovely

My best mate has been into hospital twice in the last 2 weeks with covid, blood oxygen of 86, secondary pneumonia, on dextramethaxone, stabilised, discharged and a few days later going down hill and back in
He's 45, no underlying health conditions, fit, not overweight and is really struggling for his life.....it's not just old or ill people

No. I have been once, a few years ago, with some friends who were members and remember a vast warehouse in somewhere like Merton stuffed with industrial-sized packages of everything. I think it took us three years to get through the box of dishwasher tablets we bought there. I assume the car ought to be big enough to take a 50" TV boxed. Question is how it works during lockdown?? Can you shop on-line? Lockdown is no different to normal, just rock up and shop/looks at TVs, but you need a card from a friend or register for a visitor pass. Online is possible but everytime I have bought online the delivered item has had a problem and been some effort to resolve, but always satisfied in the end

Are you a member already? If not the first step is to join (as a professional I think you are eligible - for around £30/yr) - you could always go for a look with a friend who is a member or take some proof of your eligibility and thinking of joining and they will give you a visitor view only pass to have a nosy.
They usually have someone very knowledgeable on TVs - you basically see the one you like and hope the car is big enough to bring it home (or hire one of the vans they have on the hour rental thing)
They have a 5 year warranty on the TVs - this has changed a little as people were taking the piss returning 4.5yr old TVs for new all the time.... so now you can return back into store for 90days for any reason and then the rest of the warranty is via a concierge service which will try and fix issues/prior to replacing (I believe)
