So 1719hrs replies to message sent at 0945. 1720 I reply. Seller is already offline. Not really interested are they? Talking about not being interested - I am looking at buying another Porsche from the worlds most dodgy seller via ebay- they couldn't be less interested in making any effort to respond to my queries - if I didn't think it maybe a decent car stuck with the wrong seller I would have given up long ago - going to see it tomorrow - what is the betting either he or the car isn't there.....

Having sold a few things on market place, you need to develop a first come first served attitude, but stick to your word. It is frustrating dealing with people who are clearly dealing/playing several people off against another.
eBay equally terrible for trying to contact sellers these days

I had the AZ jab on a Friday pm and was fine until Saturday pm when limbs felt leaden, felt progressively worse and went to bed at 2030 alternating between shivering and sweating, flu like symptoms. poor nights sleep but right as rain Sunday.....small price to pay for protection

The Evoque had magic tyres - went back to the lease co with 60k on the clock with c 4mm tread left..... I queried this wear with the garage one day - commenting that most of the tyres I buy from Kwik Fit etc seem to last c 20k and the response came back that the manufacturer supplied ones from factory often have different longer lasting compounds than those you can buy as a member of the public - not sure why, probably so they don't have to replace the tyres on a fully maintained lease deal!

I'd keep on eye out for the 3.2S rather than 3.4 as I believe they have fewer problems with the IMS going wrong and also keep an eye on the 23/3/06 reg date when the tax changed from £330 up quite considerably - the silver link you first posted just sneaks it

I think the 911 probably takes the award - being stuck in Mum's garage whilst the never ending building is going on - just coming out for MOTs - done more miles int eh Audi in a week during lockdown that I have in 2 years in the Porsche its sad to say....

It is indeed!
Washing the car produced no horrors on the bodywork - yet to go through the interior but finding a few little jobs to do
- Regas the aircon and check the climate control eg it seems to default to HI or off when you open the roof - this maybe a feature.... - Drivers side window control doesn't drop the passenger window but the global control does (as does the passenger window switch) - fix the seat heating on the drivers seat - backrest works but there is a broken wire which burnt my leg in the bolster.....and is working it's way through the leather - it'll be staying off for the time being
A few bits of the buttons are losing their covering but work - that's about it so far......

Not been out to see any but so far it has taken over 2 months (and counting)for the Evoque to get an emissions certificate from the DVLA......so it will now be registered on a 21 plate or 71 at this rate 😂

Thanks John - wondered if anyone might pick up. Didn't seem appropriate to make big song and dance in current environment hence not being more overt about it. Been a lot of hard work and nice to get the validation! It becomes effective with the start of the new financial year (1 May) so presumably that's deliberate. Yes, congratulations. Elevation to the firm's peerage, no less. Indeed congratulations and well done, you obviously passed the test in the Maserati hire weekend 👍

There is a chap on eBay selling some miltek stainless pipes with resonators for £150, assuming they fit they could be a good start

Nope, it sounds very American muscle car on the road, I'll investigate putting the resonators back in rather than straight through pipes!!

Were those wheels an option? I thought the S4 had a different style. Looks good though. The S4 had standard 18" Avus wheels, the brochure I have lists 5 arm alloys as an option but they maybe a slightly different design, I have the original bill of sale but will check... unusual to have a 5th unused on as a spare if not from new....
