Just an aside for our southern based members; it looks like there could be shortages of frozen turkeys and pigs in blankets this Xmas so you might want to start your panic buying early. 😀 Use a local independent butcher and you will also certainly be OK. Either that, or order your Goose/ Turkey from an independent producer such as Goodmans. Goodman's geese was opposite my childhood home, used to see them running about the field and then disappearing nearer Christmas!! My turkey is already on order from the farm shop and running around in a field 1/2 a Mike from here

I thought all super was e5 and standard was E10?

I'd suggest calling the fuel station directly before going?

No fuel supply issues in Derby, all stations seem open and have fuel. Filled up the Evoque on E10 at Costco for £1.25 a litre, but they had no super unleaded.
The Evoque does seem to run rougher on E10, and less economical. May have to try it on Super sometime

We had Claire's Nanna memorial meal today in Chelmsford, so I despatched Claire at 630am to fill it up on Friday morning as soon as I saw the headlines, cause I thought people would be twats....
We've just got back with under a 1/4 tank, which wouldn't normally be an issue as we can use the leccy for local driving, but I'm off to Swindon on Monday so went to the only station with fuel in Ilkeston to fill up, queued for about 5mins at 2200!
The twat In front of me put about £15 diesel in his car and then filled a watering can with petrol! 😳😳🤬

What happens in the states if you have an urgent medical emergency, car crash, heart attack etc.
Do they treat you then look for insurance or let you suffer until you can prove coverage (difficult if your unconscious etc)

See if you have a Slater's nearby, they'll do a dinner suit for peanuts and cheaper than a few rentals

If it was LTT Leathercare then that's my fault. That's it. It must've been John that recommended some weedkiller then. That cost me a bit more because I added a large capacity sprayer to the order. Exciting stuff, eh? What was the weedkiller, I need something for brambles and nettles

I solved the castor shimmy issue on those trollies You should go work for the supermarkets, you'd become a millionaire. I remember being offered a job by the makers of those things. It involved a Danish wheelchair manufacturer, a trip to China to get their factory to work with ours and the back brakes were from Italy but fitted in Newcastle..... Oh and we have loads of hire vans as we can't have 2 people sharing a van at the moment....

Stick and hope someone sees some sense! I can't be dealing with range anxiety! But do like the electric bit of the Evoque a lot.

A lot of people are saying they will get taxi, train hotel etc rather than use their own cars

They have said I can hand back my car without paying any early termination charges but a £250 admin fee...and order an EV. That really doesn't make environmental sense to me!!
There was no justification they just slipped it into the here's our net zero journey blurb.
And on questioning they have not plans to put charging points in our sites for employee use either!

We had an update on our company car scheme. From April 2023 only hybrids and electric cars and from April 2025 only electric cars.
With senior mgrs leading the way from Sept 21 only able to order electric cars.
All of which is fine (depressing but understandable) what is not fine is they slipped in that any business miles from September 21 will only be reimbursed at the EV only rate of 4ppm regardless of fuel type or private car we have etc, I get 12ppm for the Evoque, which just about covers the fuel cost.
Tight bastards are expecting us to subsidise business travel....won't affect me as much as some of the ops mgrs who travel between sites daily.

Did the standard go as part of the deal or have you still got to advertise it?
Glad its maiden voyage went without incident

I have a picture of me in one of Richard Stote's Avis (not sure which one) He took me out it it and showed me his collection when I was about 14. He lives one village over from where I grew up and frequented my Mum's Post Office. (As did an editor of old old top gear, who took me out in an NSX)
I think Richard has something to do with Red Triangle these days?

I just had a look at the Yeti on Motorway, and they valued it at £13k (not sure if the dealers bid up from there)
Not bad at all given we bought it for £16k In Dec 17 with 9k on the clock and it has now done 40k.
All theoretical as we have no plans to change it, nothing else appeals and it does its job perfectly. So shall run it into the ground.

I’ve been on Teams for 6.5 hours today, that’s not far off a fairly standard day. That would be an average to light day for me.....do get lots done....I went into London this week for the first time in a year....was nice but felt less productive time wise

Ed, there are a lot of unused Phev p300e in LR network after the car tax increase led to them being handed back.....one of those may fit the bill?
Really impressed with ours

It boils my piss that the government gives a perfectly reasonable position as outlined above. Then the opposition and Media make it their mission to ask as many 'arse wiping' questions as possible before proclaiming the position confused.
It is a constant battle I have at work eg what happens if an employee forgets their tacho card....and then they want a telephone directory sized guide covering all eventualities....
My unpopular response was we have an existing conduct code, it is your job as managers to use that in each situation, from coaching to formal.....
