The Avengers/Marvel films got worse as the SJW monkeys took over at Disney. The Deadpool films and The Punisher series are the antidote to usual Marvel efforts. All the usual suspend your belief malarky with a generous portion of darkness/snarkasm.

Paternal Grandad served in the RN on the Atlantic convoys - wouldn't talk about it having told my dad that having to leave men in the water when the U-boats were about was horrible. He was then on the transports taking the colonial troops back home to South Africa/Australia/New Zealand and told about men throwing themselves overboard having gambles away their demob money.
Maternal Grandad served in the desert. Ran over a mine in the pursuit of Rommel and spent three days besides the remnants of his M3 Lee before being rescued. Once he recovered they sent him to Burma.

I see that estate agents can re-open from today. When did we find out? 8pm last night. As I said previously, we should be one of the last to re-open. You can't go and see your parents, but you can go a walk around a stranger's house with no restrictions! Even the bloody French have seriously restricted who can go and how viewing must happen, unlike here. FFS the industry was talking about doing inventories/EPCs/Valuations in fucking hazmat suits the other day.

It's easy to get bogged down in the casualty statistics for WW1, but the battle for Normandy in WW2 produced damn well as near as many casualties but at least had the result of reaching it's objectives.

Started with Designated Survivor on Netflix. So far it's pretty good, Keifer Sutheralnd as the lowly cabinet member suddenly becoming President when and attack blows up the Capitol building and everyone in it. Helps that Natascha McElhone plays the first lady..

Cancelled Sky Sports this morning (although I'm tempted to cancel the whole thing). As a result of saving £20 a month Mrs Scouse has now subscribed to Disney+.....

I see that buinsess rates are to be scrapped for the next year for small business'. What's the bets that when the detail is announced we Estate Agents are going to be excluded? I was right. A2 class (Financial services such as banks and building societies, professional services (other than health and medical services) and including estate and employment agencies. It does not include betting offices or pay day loan shops) not included. In Ormskirk's town centre that leaves: 4 banks 1 solicitor 5 Independent Estate Agents 1 Chain Estate Agent paying business rates next year.* On my street of 39 shops and offices, I'll be the only one paying rates. *not quite true, there are the grand total of 6 other properties with a rateable value greater than the £51k cut off (in a town centre of around 130ish shops)

Yes, I have the same problem! I added HBA via OBDeleven but now I don't use it, for that reason. It can't anticipate a car coming and deactivate the high beam before actually seeing the lights, so it's a bit slow-witted. If you want it to know there's a car out of sight, about to come round the corner, you have to enable the psychic HBA This is my pet hate with the LED streetlamps having that bright, white light as opposed to the sodium yellow of the old ones. Around my neck of the woods there are several corners & junctions that you could tell a car was coming by the white glow of their headlamps. The council in it's infinite wisdom seems to have selected the streetlamps around these corners/junctions to be upgraded to the LED ones.

Brilliant film, definitely in my Top 20. The same person doesn't appreciate Blazing Saddles which seems to me to indicate some kind of character disorder! Definitely! Watched 12 Strong at the weekend. Obviously a bit 'Hoo Rah! USA! USA!', but even taking artistic licence, to fly into the mountains of Aghanistan at the very limit of the helicopters service ceiling and said helicopter then being hours away should the shit hit the fan, knowing full well that there was every chance they might be sold to the Taliban/Al Qaeda must've taken massive bravery or a failiure of imagination. These guys weren't waddling under the weight of their kit, it was the size of their balls.

Funny how they were certain that the lack of dredging had nothing to do with the floords last time round, yet places that perviously flooded but have since been dredged 9such as Somerset) haven't flooded this time, but others that haven't have.

Are they unreliable?
Allegedly so. Plus poor parts supply, again allegedly.
Back to the OP, the electric stuff just leaves me cold, although I still like the leftfield, manic-powered, IC stuff. The Valkyrie especially, with an NA V12 spinning to 11,000rpm, although it needs tobe a dark colour to better disguise the aero gubbins (I hate the modern Ford GT for those 'tunnels').

Thoughts? Aside from 'turn the water cannon on the little shites, then horse charage them, then batton charge the remnants before arresting them for breach of the peace and charging them a share od the costs of the above?

Notice how there was no mention of how it was to drive on the road. Looking at how flat it cornered and the way the suspension moved, I would suggest it would be unbearable on anything other than smooth tarmac. £72k for what is pretty much a track only car is hard going, you could get all manner of Caterhams, Westfields, Atoms and even an early Mono for that and the Megane wouldn't see which way any of them went. A 5 door hatch is a very odd starting point for a track focussed machine, even with the weight loss (which could be more if they had used a 3 door shell, if it existed) - they're starting from a point of compromise. But, the usual Nurburgerkingringsting weapons will be out in force to praise the lap time. Remember that mad Clio from years ago that had the uber-trick remote resevoir dampers? Great when the car is new, not so much when it's used and worth 5-6k and a single damper is £1500...
