My current car. Unfortunately it's for sale as I just don't use it I work in Edinburgh City centre and travelling by car is no fun. Currently the quickest way for me to get home is to run the 5 mile distance, plus that's probably best for my health also. Shame, I know you love a nice Golf! Rebecca's the same, though not quite to the extent of running to (or from) work. Yet. However, unless it's totally pissing down or snowing heavily , she's been cycling to work and back, saving the running for her days off - and sometimes after boxing class! Good stuff. I will probably cycle when it gets lighter, annoyingly, it's probably the best way to get around.

Haven't posted the Maxi yet - not the most artistic of photos! - bonnet stripes now also gone

looks great and is the same colour as our, soon-to-arrive, new one. Ours didn't have bonnet stripes, but we are having them added!

That does work well - I don't normally care for black wheels, but with that paint colour and the car's shape in general it does seem to work.

That does look good. I have to agree on the black wheels, too. They suit it. Do have an irrational hatred for a couple details on these cars and one is the brake lights. I really don't like how the main light unit on the back doesn't contain the brake lights and they're instead relegated to the bumper.

Unwritten rule in our road, like many that weren’t really built for the number of cars people have these days - pavement on our side for parking, the road or pavement on the other side for walking - park in the road and cars can’t get past. Most people walk down the middle of the road irrespective of whether the pavement is blocked or not - no through road so there’s only about 10 cars a day use it.

Very lucky with our neighbours - everyone gets on and if necessary people are ok with blocking each other in (checking it’s ok first of course) if for instance you have a few guests, or sharing drives etc

Old shape 140ps St Line X replaced with a 2019 125ps ST Line X in Magnetic Grey. Aside from the colour identical to the red one I had as a company car. No options as nothing needed really. Has half leather, heated seats, nav, front and rear sensors, sign recognition, lane keep etc. I really like this spec in this colour - quite sharky.

Did I read somewhere that grey is now the most popular car colour? Suits it well.

It does look good, some similarity to the Mazda 3.

Our Micra is grey and while it looks ok a more distinctive colour would enable us to spot it more easily in a car park. There are a lot of small(ish) cars that look very similar from the front - Auris, Last gen Civic, the small Mazda, etc.

About a day after suggesting Chris M should get a Tourneo Connect I did the maths and located a high spec one to sign up for. A replacement for my wife’s Focus ST Line X (thoroughly excellent bar my ability to kerb the alloys and gouge lumps out of the tyre).
As it turns out I have not taken leave of my senses, and divorce appears distant. I flipping love it to be honest. It also makes a fair amount of financial sense as I have paid what I am hoping is what it will still be worth in a year’s time.
5 seats, stovepipe headroom, 700 litre boot, heated seats, sat nav w/CarPlay, f and r parking sensors, rear camera, and 999cc’s of loveliness.
It is a Titanium 1.0 100ps petrol. Magnetic Grey with 16” alloys, privacy glass and silver roof rails.
I knew it would drive well as I have taken a 1.0 Courier van around a track a few times and enjoyed it hugely. If you want to make progress it has to be thrashed but the 1.0 is a lot of fun, and it is surprising grippy and roll free. 50mpg on a run too, which I was surprised by.
£100 a month less than the Focus for a car that will do about 5000 a year and has all the spec and space you could need seemed like a no brainier assuming one could live with a van with windows.
It also coincided with the pre-order of a Mustang Mach-E for late next year so I will squirrel away the savings. If the monthly cost looks too high I can cancel and get my deposit back so no risk.

Not sure how this happened, but it is a Courier not a Connect. I suspect that is not auto correct, just a fail by me.

Took a couple of shots of the 4GC reflecting a truly epic Italian sunset at my father-in-law's house on Christmas Eve:

Looks great Racing!
Not a photo but my Lexus is about to hit 270,000 miles today, in its 20th year.
Doesn’t look much now, but is still going well.

It's a bit grubby in those photos as I hadn't yet washed it after the 1,000 mile schlepp from London, but yes it still looked good.

Yes, but mud is cheating. Look at those front alloys. They are diamond-cut and usually pretty sparkly. By the time I cleaned it, they were practically the same colour as the tyres. when clean:

That’s not just grubby, it’s illegal! Somewhere, Chris is having a lie down in a dark room! Those photos are from 26th December. It's got worse since then (although the numberplate has been cleaned).

The new (to me) motor. Done about 300 miles in it so far. Needs to be cleaned already! Also I know it’s a BMW and is parked across a disabled bay- that was the mechanic who had just replaced the rear brake pads.

Nice motor Rodge. I always thought that was the best looking of the X5's. What is the engine?

Nice motor Rodge. I always thought that was the best looking of the X5's. What is the engine? It’s the 3.0 twin turbo. Nicely appointed inside though it is black leather which I’m not a big fan of. Very comfortable to drive but handles well too. There’s also a nice kick when the second turbo spins up, meaning what I thought was 70mph was actually 90 when I glanced at the speedo.

I was on the Moors yesterday and got a picture of the Discovery with it's older relative. Looks like a 86-88 90" from the graphics
