As I parked the car at the weekend, I realised it was sitting at 165,000 km. As it’s only 6 years old, that’s a healthy total to have. Am taking it to the repairers early next week to get estimates for the damage from the crash a few weeks ago. They are too far from where I work to have gotten there sooner unfortunately. Oy! You're not in Murca now you know!! Y’all stop that now. 😜

Where has the ability to upload photos gone ? I cannot without using an external host site . You can upload if you switch to desktop version at the bottom of the page

.... unless the site is experiencing the same issues I had at the start of Feb when I couldn't upload any photos of the T-C.Ross just after I collected it

I've been cleaning the cars this afternoon.... Only crossed my mind last week that I have a milkbottle top collection by colour, semi-skimmed, full fat and skimmed

Hi there I'm a newbie on here. I am the proud owner of a 2023 kia ceed 1.5 T-Gdi GT-LINE manual. I'm wondering if any other owners of this spec of kia are having the same issues as me. The idle tick over is in my mind set far too low because when i set off I'm having to give it more revs or it cuts out. This is quite dangerous as say when i set off from traffic lights and it stalls someone could rear end me.

The obvious is to get used to giving it more revs - just adjust your driving to suit the car . Small petrol engines don't have a lot of inertia to keep them going and will require more to get them off the line.

A rare shot of the Mini and the Macan together…how to make 17” alloys look like teeny…

Discovered today that the Mondeo can easily fit 4 euro pallets and a folding ladder in the back, without having to move the front seats. I also discovered that after the run in with the bus last year, which affected the front wheel alignment, I’m going to need some new front tyres in the coming weeks.

Not a current car, but the one I owned when I first joined the Autocar forum back in 2005. It's only a few days out of the paint booth in this photo - the first and only car I've ever painted.

With all the background stuff going on in my life over the past couple of months the Alvis hasn't been out of the garage for eight weeks. I put that right yesterday with a blast around the lanes, going the long way round on my way to a local farm shop

I'm late about this, but those on my Facebook would have noticed that I got a new car earlier this month. It's a 2008 Mitsubishi Colt Plus. Not sure if you guys ever had it in the UK, but it's a neat little thing. Small footprint but huge boot. It came with a surprising amount of toys too, like a powered tailgate and automatic headlights, which were quite rare for small Japanese cars at that time. Apparently there were Colt Plus Turbo and Colt Plus Ralliart versions back in the day, which has got me very tempted to do things to it. Must resist...
I've already removed the silly aftermarket speakers on the pillars, and the annoying USB port sticking out of the air con vents. I've also changed the sound system, and more upgrades are in the works.
