Keep an eye out for How To Build British on the 30th November, 9pm on More 4. There's a chance I may be on it - Channel 4 came in to do a feature on how to build a Mono and, despite me doing my best to avoid being on camera, I was roped in to do a few shots. I've already watched the Mini and Jaguar episodes and so far they have been quite good, albeit full of a lot of marketing bullshit when the suits get involved, but that's par for course.
I can't recall what I was actually doing during the filming, but I made sure that they only filmed doing actual work and not staged or scripted stuff. I hate that. They may even have edited me out, who knows.
The premise of the show is that it follows the journey of an individual car from design to delivery, something which is more prominent with BAC than other larger companies, as every car is built completely to order from the ground up.
I will, of course, be available afterwards for questions and autographs.

Questions is, how much will you be charging for the autographs? I hear that all the big names do these days.....

Caught up with The Shrink Next Door and can’t wait for the next episode to be released. Based on a true story, it’s amazing (a) how manipulative people can be; (b) how gullible people can be; and (c) how shameless the people that are (a) can be.

The Forensics thing on BBC2 was rather good - where they found two people in a Range Rover, shot. Very well put together and one one big plot twist on what seemed a straghtforward case...

End of year stuff
Pretty shit ,the best thing I discovered was ‘the silence ‘ by Manchester orchestra a stunning bit of music and the album it is on is very good ….but it’s from 2 years ago .
I do like yungblud and his sort of mash up of smells like teen spirit /boulevard of broken dreams /how you remind me with the catchy ‘Fleabag’
Also mammoth wvh and his ‘you’re to blame’. It took me a while to realise who it was .
Lastly Boston Manor and algorithm was a tune that stuck with n my head.

Fat Pop by Paul Weller was brilliant, and my stand out album of the year, probably followed by Coral Island by The Coral.

Had an audible membership for a few years now and saw that my listening last year was over 21,000 minutes. The thing that surprised me most was possibly that I bought Jenson Buttons autobiography and really enjoyed it. I was never a fan of his as a driver but his book is a great listen/read. Top category for me was Biographies/ memoirs followed by fiction/ literature and then History. One of the perks of driving a lot for my job was that I got to listen while not on calls.

Just watched 8-Bit Christmas . Brilliant look back at 80s Christmas Toy mania. Watch it if you get a chance.

Around the world in 80 days. Currently on Ep4.
Great filmography. David Tennant is superb as ever.

We've watched two episodes. I'd watch more but the wife's always too tired for a session of watching dramas on TV.

Mo Farah, No Easy Mile on Netflix. Watched it and enjoyed it, although I do enjoy long distance running, it’s interesting seeing how he analyses his performance and works on improving through the documentary. Seems to be a very likeable bloke too.

The Responder. Martin Freeman thing. I watched much of the first episode but have since had to leave the room when it comes on.
I hate that accent that much.

Scouse, it got a little better as it went on (Mrs M gave up after episodes) but the accent was dodgy.
Most enjoyable bit was spotting all the old Brookside actors popping up!
Not a patch on Vigil which we finally saw at the weekend, Judy is out on the bomb squad thing, last week was great but this week dragged a bit

Nothing wrong with Brummie accent, although I was at a dinner in Notting Hill at the weekend and pointed out to my cousin that the reason the guy in Peaky Blinders is so good looking (apparently: I’ve never seen a minute of it) is so you don’t notice the accent.

As someone with roots in the Black Country, the accents on peaky blinders aren't the best examples!

Responder. Haven't watched The Apprentice in years as all the candidates are odious, power grabbing, backstabbing twats and it is just too cringey.

It's one of those programmes where we've seen it and got it but now it's just boring and more of the same each year. Might give The Responder a miss for now. Not that I have time to watch much drama these days.

When the opening scene in a film is a vintage Porsche 911 being driven down a road in rural France, you know it’s probably going to be a good one.
LeMans with Steve McQueen.
