I think that was me. I enjoyed Queens Gambit too. Cheers, just started the second series. Even Mrs Sacamano is well into it. It helps it's set in Miami, a place she loves.

Binge watched It’s A Sin. Great watching and soundtrack. We’re watching that. Have you noticed a lot of the characters are gay?

Wayne on Prime. It is like an American version of The End of the Fucking World. I'm enjoying it so far.

Loved “It’s a Sin”. Made W2.1 wait for each broadcast episode as it was set at a time when there was no binge watching 😊
Good story and the painful truth that AIDS was a bit of a lottery was well brought out, as was the differing attitudes of the Welsh mum and the IoW mum. Some of the timeline was a bit off with regards to knowledge because I was a teen in the early ‘80s (as were a lot of us on here) and was certainly more aware than some of the storyline in episodes 2 and 3.
What made me laugh was that Stephen Fry’s flat was clearly in Peninsular Heights (the top 2 floors of which are Jeffrey Archer’s penthouse) but when they were seen at the entrance and exit they were nowhere near it - either positionally or architecturally. Also they scooted past the whole Dolphin Square stuff aside from that rent-boy dinner in episode 4.
I rarely watch TV that isn’t movies, motorsport or 40+ years old but this was great.

We both watched it and thought it was very good - Mrs Sacamano was in tears at the end. The timeframe resonated with me as I was 18 in 1983 and remember the AIDS adverts on the TV and the warnings that this was an illness that was going to kill millions - all slightly surreal as obviously there was no homosexuality in Newcastle at that time - gay people all being effete Southerners. The music score was excellent.

Your Honour on SkyAtlantic and NowTV
About half way through bingeing this with W2.1 - we decided to select some TV to binge together.
Fucking tense in the first two episodes does not begin to describe it. Then a series of fateful events makes it even more of a fuck up. I recommend it.

Have they kept that quiet or is my ignorance a sign of how little I watch the BBC these days?

I feel the same way. It was a fantastic episode for anybody about our age, most of whom have owned/driven/experience of those cars.
I almost brought a tear to my eye.

Did anyone notice the tacho wasn't working in Harris' BMW? That sunflower yellow Fiesta looked ace: The Mk1 is still one of the best looking small cars ever made.
I thought it was a little unfair in the rally section where they were given 2WD cars with less power and manual gearboxes, and Stig's dad got a Grp B monster with 4WD and a sequential box.

Yes, spotted the tacho straight away. I know he's got a bit or rallying experience, but Harris got a lot closer to the 6R4 time than I expected.

Ace program. The experience seemed to really hit them emotionally. It did make me think of happy days in our bright green cortina listening to a Beatles mix tape. But was that a new flintoff image? I wasn’t aware that the 1970s serial killer look was in vogue.

Freddie Flintoff looked like Jurgen Klopp's special needs brother with that hairstyle he was sporting.

Waiting for Equaliser 2 (Denzel Washington) to come on and the end of Pacific Rim Uprising is on. It's a Rim alright, not sure about the Pacific bit.

I made the mistake of watching Pacific Rim a few years ago. I reckon they got a child to write the plot and script.
