I’ve really enjoyed this series, best one I can remember. Agree. Better than the GT, too I'd agree too. The new trio seem to have a good working relationship which never seems forced in the way it sometimes did between Harris and MLB and particularly between Clarkson and May.

The McRae bit was brilliant, even Harris presenting it didn't put me off. You forget how much of a lunatic McRae was - a real "send it or bend it" merchant. My abiding memory as an eight year old was watching his blue Subaru on TV flying through all sorts of forest and gravel stages. I was already into cars by that age, but watching him then really got me into motorsport. Truly an inspirational icon.

Weird how I didn't remember who his team mate was, but the last person I'd have guessed would have been Sainz. I literally had no idea that he ever drove for Subaru! He was always the Toyota guy... As monkey pointed out, Sainz as team mate was a significant part of McRae's drive to succeed that year, perhaps more so than any other. (I know, he didn't say that in so many words, but it's implicit. I think it is anyway).

The longest day was on today and while busy doing other things kept one eye on the idiot box. Not something I watch regularly but when I do it is rather symbolic.

Zero Dark Thirty. Not a film with much of a soul it seemed to me, much like The Hurt Locker. Not comfortable with the stance it took in portraying torture, or rather the stance it seemed at pains to avoid taking. I liked both Zero Dark Thirty and the Hurt Locker. I didn't stop to consider the moral implications of Zero Dark Thirty - it just seemed a story well told (if a "little" embellished).

Uncut Gems on Netflix. I've just watched an hour and turned it off. I'm not a Sandler fan at all and only gave it a go as the trailer looked interesting and it was a rare serious role for him.
I wish I hadn't bothered. What a load of crap. I'm not remotely interested in how it ends.

I usually have to stick with a film when I’ve started, but couldn’t with this one.

I watched it ,it was quite grating to watch But rather that than another remake of a film that didn’t need remaking .

Did you know you can turn off the annoying previews whilst browsing now? I don't mind them, actually!

Cancelled Sky Sports this morning (although I'm tempted to cancel the whole thing). As a result of saving £20 a month Mrs Scouse has now subscribed to Disney+.....

Watched The Quick and the Dead last night as it was on (Italian satellite TV). Hadn't seen it for years.

But have you seen her now? I agree though, in her prime she was stunning and alluring.
