Anyone else watching His Dark Materials? Slow and confusing when I tried it. I think you need to be an enthusiast of the books to understand it. The hope was that making a TV series would enable them to go into more depth in the way that films can't. Not sure it's been successful. War of the Worlds was very poor. Judging by its 2/10 on iMdB I'm not alone on thinking this. Couple of duffers from the Beeb sadly. |

Sold out. Every single one. Even the extra London date added due to popular demand.
But, surprise surprise, tickets are available for more than twice face value on resale sites. Fucking sharks. I love FNM, but not enough to pay £130 to see them. They could easily have done arenas rather than large halls, but that would have dulled it for me. I'm not a fan of arena gigs as a rule.

I've watched all 3 series so far and it takes a while to get going but develops quite well. I'm still not 100% sure I understand the cause of what happens at the beginning though. Have you watched Travelers (American spelling) on Netflix? No, but I will put it in the list, thanks. Netflix has just increased its prices. Bit of a piss take as it's now twice the price of Amazon Prime. Price goes up in August. I've downgraded to the standard HD package. I can live without 4K for 12 quid a month. They've now done away with the introductory free month now. New to Netflix? It's now buy before you try. |

Just announced pearl jam playing Hyde Park in the summer with the pixies as support Nice . They need to pause the touring and get back in the studio. Over six years since Lightning Bolt! Much as I'd love to go and see them again - especially at Imola! - I had the same thought. The Wrigely Field album was OK, but nothing new. |

Watched the Grand Tour Cambodia/Vietnam boat trip yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nothing new in terms of content, but it was well-done and they seem better suited to (and more relaxed in) this format. Those who dislike them shouldn't bother, I suspect.

I think the next season of the Expanse starts next week on Amazon. I shall be watching that. Watching this has been mildly annoying because there's an actress in it that I'm sure I've seen in something else, but when I look at her IMDb profile I haven't seen anything she's been in before! |
