Going to see Glenn Hughes playing Deep Purple songs on Friday. I believe that the man can still sing, so it should be interesting. Based on Black Country communion stuff he definitely can still sing .

Just watched Ford Vs Ferrari as it’s called over here. Really enjoyable and at times funny movie. I loved it.
However... Why do directors always, and I mean always, depict racing drivers going flat out, and then they put their foot down more? The Mulsanne straight, racing against another driver, flat out in 5th gear or whatever the top gear was, and he pushes the accelerator down a bit more, and then more again.
No racer would ever do that.

We went to see it (Le Mans 66) on Monday and really enjoyed it, I know there are a few historical inaccuracies but it didn’t spoil it in any way.
The extra throttle wasn’t right, but not that bad and kind of explained by Ken pushing past the agreed rev limit. It was nowhere near as bad as it is in other films.

I knocked that on the head after series 1. Might give it another go.
Currently on Ray Donovan again, but it's an episode a week.

Authors and their scribbles. A Patterson book, part of a crime series and one of the character 'borrows' an X from the Tesla dealer she works for. Talking about being amazed at how quiet the engine is and then talks about shutting off the engine. Wow, are we talking a variant or some kind of writers cramp?

Webster's defines an engine: Definition of engine: 1: a machine for converting any of various forms of energy into mechanical force and motion also : a mechanism or object that serves as an energy source I guess Patterson is correct.

Either that or he's having a go at women drivers. I go with electric motor and internal combustion engine myself, perhaps I'm the nutjob.

Faith No More doing Europe dates in 2020. Not checked for any UK gigs, but I may have to partake before they disappear forever.

Just started Glitch while I'm waiting for the last episode of Mr. Robot. It's an Aussie show which means weirdness is a given. Not sure quite how it's going at the moment.

I've watched all 3 series so far and it takes a while to get going but develops quite well. I'm still not 100% sure I understand the cause of what happens at the beginning though. Have you watched Travelers (American spelling) on Netflix?

I have seen them but not really that impressed tbh, the last film had more depth to it. Not sure exactly how far the story goes beyond the Amber spyglass. I have noticed the war of the worlds on beeb and will see this on their catchup service.

I watched a couple of episodes of The Young Offenders on iPlayer last night. Quite funny although a few times I had to rewind to understand what had just been said (it's set in Cork and the accents are quite strong along with some local slang).

I watched that a while back, it was ok but Mrs Tim found it highly amusing as she reckoned it was a decent representation of some Irish quirks. She likes 'Derry Girls' too as it reminds her of the, er, joy of living across there during The Troubles!!
