I've recently binge watched the entire run of Marvel's Jessica Jones and I'm now onto Luke Cage.
Netflix is also treating me to The Fresh Prince from the beginning, which is like reliving my childhood - the 90s were the perfect decade.
Not sure if anyone else has watched Big Mouth, it's an adult cartoon about a group of kids going through puberty and the whole mess of hormones, bad decisions and everything else that goes along with it. Very sweary, sometimes graphic and immensely funny. Series 3 starts streaming from today.

I tried watching Big Mouth but wasn't overly impressed.
I have been watching The Dark Crystal rehash. It's been quite good and oddly true to the original film with, apparently, limited use of CGI and lots of puppets.

I watched 'Baby Driver' last night and wasn't particularly entertained. The opening car chase involves a Subaru Impreza and the pre-requisite hundreds of cops. Cue every gearchange being decisively rammed home, lots of tail-out tyre smoking action (clearly brought on by excessive use of the handbrake) and a general feeling at the end of it of dissatisfaction. The title character isn't particularly well done either - Ryan O Neal did monosyllabic getaway driver 1,000 times better in 'The Driver'40 years ago.
The main standouts for me were the transformation of John Hamm (I've previously only seen him in an episode of Toast of London and clips from Mad Men), who I didn't recognise for a few minutes and Kevin Spacey's hair colour and possible toupee!

Currently watching The Capture on BBC/iPlayer. Not really sure if I think it's any good because it has an interesting premise but there are some glaring factual errors in the story which I find are grating. Finished this earlier in the week. An interesting premise poorly executed. Had Famke Janssen in it, though, which is always a good thing in my book.

Started watching Hyperdrive on Netflix over the weekend. Someone in work mentioned it and I fancied watching something a bit different.
It’s ok. Hyped show that has your typical people on it with mega hp cars that are set up for drifting.
I can’t help but think a well set up rally car would toast the lot of them. There is a German guy with an old M5 in it and they mentioned his was a rally car. A group A car from 15 years ago would murder the other cars in everything but outright speed.

Watched the first two seasons of Goliath on Amazon - Billy Bob Thornton as an alcoholic lawyer. Very good and Series 3 has just dropped.

Yes that is good. I finished season 3 a couple of weeks ago. I managed to completely confuse myself by watching Episode 1, Series 2 and then going straight into Episode 2, Series 3. The episodes sometime jump around timelinewise so it took me 20 minutes to realise my mistake.

I had that the other night when I started watching the Sinner. I sat there wondering why Jessica Biel wasn't in it and realised that Netflix had helpfully put season 2 on for me when I was understandably wanting to watch season 1 first!

I think you can watch each season on its own.

By all accounts the first one is betterer. I know a few folk who said that season 2 was a bit slow.

Has anyone else been watching the Great Model Railway Challenge on 5? It's a bit too full of bad puns at times but it is surprisingly enjoyable to watch.

We went to see Best of Cream a couple of weeks ago. The band are made up of two sons (drums and base) and one nephew (guitar) to the original band members. The "classic" tunes of Cream were good but they cut them really short. The utterly off-piste musical frenzy that seemed to be the rest of the show was too much like modern jazz / musical wanking. The band clearly enjoyed it but I'm not sure the audience did as much. Yes they could all play fantastically, but the least they could was all play the same tune to help people. And so I think we came across an issue that probably impacts a lot of tribute bands for bands from that era. Namely that the audience are no longer stoned.
It was a real shame. I love Clapton but I think Cream was probably a bit too much part of the drug infused period - band and audience. You'd think a tribute band would try to calm that down a bit rather than play it up. We left at half-time. We were not the only ones.

Bought tool’s fear innoculum ,probably the best album of the next 4-5 years ,too much filler and not as good as 10000 days or lateralus but better than any else around . Also the alter bridge album ,but hit and miss but at least they are putting a bit more variety into the album.

I still couldn't name a single Alter Bridge song or hum a riff.

I watched a couple of episodes of Bangers and cash, it's an interesting programme about Matthewson's auction house in Yorkshire. The first episode finds them retrieving an original mini Cooper S from a garage, it's completely f**ked and was last taxed in 1976.....then sold for a huge amount of money.
It's on catch up and well worth a watch.

Perhaps rethink that and step away from the thought, oh sorry, that's my bad.

Watched all of season 1 of Russian Doll last night in one go. Easy to do as the episodes are under 25 mins each. I really liked it. Comedic like Groundhog Day at first but gets progressively darker as it goes on. New series approaching, too.

I find Tool very listenable until the singer starts, then I decide I'm not a fan after all. the comment is more about the state of music currently than the album, there's about 5 or 6 actual songs on it but the quality of those songs is very high.

I've found a few bands courtesy of Spotify recommendations by letting it play randomly after something I've listened to.

Does it still only come in that ridiculously expensive box with a video screen attached? Don’t know ,it sold out and there was no normal cd so I used a torrent.

I have to really be in the mood to listen to Tool. Usually on a long lonely drive or with headphones on.

I know I've listened to quite a lot of Tool stuff but can't honestly remember any of it.
Same for Alter Bridge.

Going to see Glenn Hughes playing Deep Purple songs on Friday. I believe that the man can still sing, so it should be interesting.
