I don’t think wow even covers it. Quite an incredible bit of telly. It even got our youngest looking up from her screen.

Can I flag up Last Breath for attention?
We meant to go to the cinema to see it but got the days mixed up - but you can get it on Amazon for just over a fiver. It's the story of a diver trapped under the North Sea with 5 mins of air, and a rescue that looks set to take half an hour. It is a true story, and shown as part documentary, part using footage shot after and, chillingly, part from footage from the event itself.
One of the most tense pieces of film I have ever seen. You won't regret seeing it.

Another band popped up on the discover new music thing for me a while ago and really caught my ear. They're called Blueneck and turned out to be based not far from me, so quite a local band. I've been attempting to buy their CDs online and was down to the last few (they were £16-18 on Amazon so they were a no go!). I bought one of these from Bandcamp and it turned out that the guy selling the stuff on there was the singer and guitarist. We had a bit of a conversation via email and I said that I was buying the CDs and he sent me all the ones I never had for just a fiver. Top bloke and a great band. They do that slow brooding, atmospheric build up to a loud ending really well.
They only appear to have two actual music videos on YouTube that I can find but there's lots of other stuff on there, too.

Just watched it, it was brilliant. If I didn’t know better, I’d have thought that was the very last episode.

I watched it in a dark room with the lights out and still couldn't see what was happening. Hopefully the Blu-ray will improve matters...

I enjoyed TGt far more than top gear this season. I don't know why, but I hate the use of season rather than series.
Been watching a C4 series called Sex on Trial, about US cases of rape/assault, alleged or otherwise. Deeply disturbing, in that it shows how grey areas exist, how the law itself struggles with 'beyond reasonable doubt', but mostly about how horribly slanted against women the whole investigative and legal processes still are. I hope that things are better here than there, but it makes me glad that I had sons and not daughters.

Chernobyl on Sky Atlantic. Quite possibly the most frightening thing you will ever watch.

An advert for european river cruises, the same boats that lost a load of people into the water recently. Very poor taste to continue running the ads. Peace of mind, included. Really?

Netflix has just increased its prices. Bit of a piss take as it's now twice the price of Amazon Prime.

I think there'll be some good offers on B&O equipment in the near future. From the BBC site:-
Shares in the maker of posh televisions and audio equipment, Bang & Olufsen have plunged almost 20%.
Late on Monday it cut its financial outlook for the third time in less than seven months.
It blamed disappointing sales of televisions in Europe.
The Danish firm expects sales to fall 13%-14% this year and has also cut its profit margin forecast.
"Clearly our financial performance this year has not been satisfactory, and we are very disappointed with the development," chief executive Henrik Clausen said.
B&O's share price is down almost 65% over the past year.

B&O have been style over substance for a long time now.

Finished Chernobyl last night. Scary stuff. Didn't enjoy the episode where they were having to shoot all the abandoned pets much but it just added to the horror of the whole thing.

I think their latest OLED TV is 18 grand. Trouble is that TVs are good looking things anyway now so that style for a high price thing doesn't really work nowadays.
