Has anyone else wasted several hours of their life watching the final season of House of Cards on Netflix?
They should've just cancelled it when they dumped Kevin Spacey because they've clearly used that event as a trigger to completely lose the plot.

Tomorrow's World is coming back, apparently. Good. I want to know when my flying car is being launched (no pun intended)...

A remake of DAS BOOT starts on Sky next week. Should be good. It will have a job on its hands to be better than the original.

They Shall Not Grow Old, Peter Jackson's colourised and restored WW1 documentary.

I have the original on a disk, the writing and the cast are epic, one of the best produced programs/films ever.

I see him as talented but not the whole deal yet, loss of legs has set him back a bit but, with the right backing he could be the first Billy Monger rather than the next Lewis Hamilton etc. I hope he goes all the way.

I've not yet seen last night's programme but I've seen a few others including when he met Alex Zanardi, and his courage and enthusiasm is amazing especially in the face of adversity. Would be great to see him in F1, and am amazed at the FIA's discriminatory attitude towards disability which has only recently started to change. Trevor Carlin saw something in him and gave him a chance that he's grabbed with both hands; long may this continue

The Billy Monger story on bbc 2, now. Just watched it, as positive as he comes across I can't help feeling that there is a very deep sadness in there.

F1 or perhaps whatever they call prototype racing now.

The Cure are playing in Glasgow next summer but I think its part of a festival of some sort and 2 tickets would cost around £150. I'm not fussed although Mrs Tim is a fan but even she's reluctant, not just because of the price but add in an open air festival in summer in Scotland! Plus it's Glasgow Meanwhile, courtesy of Spotify, I've been indulging myself on stuff that I had on vinyl 30 odd years ago including cock rock such as Rainbow, Kiss, Def Leppard and at the risk of severe embarassment Vinnie Vincent!

It's the Summer Sessions I think, with them headlining Friday night and the Foo Fighters the Saturday. I couldn't get on the internet at 9a.m. last Friday, thus no tickets. I only wanted the Saturday, but even the Platinum tickets are all gone! Twickets it is then.

Finally got to see Bohemian Rhapsody - we thought it was excellent. The critics clearly have no idea what they are doing.

Just seen an advert in Smiths for a new George RR Martin book - it’s another bloody prequel!! :-( :-( Why doesn't he just get a ghost writer in to finish the GOT series! Given that the next series will be the last of the current timeframe with Jon Snow, Daenerys, etc and that he has passed the story arc onto other writers we're OK there. I loved reading all the GOT books and watching the TV series but I got a prequel, history of Westeros book and got completely lost. Even setting it aside in the toilet to read a bit when in there I quickly calculated that, at my age, I don't have enough bowel movements left to finish it and gave up.

Macbeth by Jo Nesbo, normally one of the authors I think highly of. I get that Macbeth is a take on the Scottish play but it is dire with a capital 'S'. Write up there with a certain American alternative history riter who cannot construct a paragraph. I had to give up.

Saw the bootleg Beatles in the symphony hall on Tuesday. Fantastic night. The vocals and looks are absolutely spot on. Great venue too. I’ve seen them a few times at the NIA, but the acoustics in the SH were as you’d expect (brill)

Good, but I'd expected a little more. Beautifully shot, though.
Absolutely fantastic drama. I always wait until drama series are finished before watching, so as to allow bingeing.
Interesting so far, though rather less well-written than I was hoping for.
Not finished yet, but I can't recall the last book I enjoyed this much - hilarious, poignant and delivered well and truly in the author's own voice.

I thought the Revenant was terrible and turned it off before it finished. I thought the way it was filmed where the camera moved around the action was interesting but the story was just too far fetched to be believable.

The Trump book is interesting- I read it last year, although it ends a bit abruptly. It just confirms what we already know about that idiot in the White House. I read How Not to be a Boy as well and I must admit it did disappoint a bit and felt a bit self-indulgent. I just though Webb would be funnier. A good 7/10 though. I've just finished The Spy and The Traitor by Ben Macintyre about MI6's most successful spy inside the KGB at the height of The Cold War. Really enjoyed it and it reinforces Thatcher's part in the thawing of relations between East and West. I also liked the bit about confusing Russian sniffer dogs with Cheese and Onion crisps as they'd never encountered anything like them in their training!

I'd have thought that writing an autobiography of any sort could be viewed as self-indulgent!
