I was at a gig at the Borrowlands in Glasgow last night and there were signs outside telling people not to take photos/video and this was supported by a few event staff going through the crowd during the gig when they saw people doing those things. Very refreshing as only a handful took any pictures/video and quickly got the message. There wasn't even anyone talking through the performance either. Everyone was paying attention to the band, which is surely why you;re at a gig? Talking through the performance ? I don’t think I’ve been to a gig where that’s been possible

You haven't been to a gig in Glasgow then. 'Those people' have loud, piercing voices All the gigs we go to are loud but it doesn't stop them.
We were about 10 yards from the stage at The Mission (band, not the venue) a couple of years ago and there were 2 guys chatting all the way through - well, we moved away after a while. You'd think after spending £20-30 on tickets you'd listen to the music rather than chat about shite.

Went to Iron Maiden last night. Epic. Almost as epic as LSII's reaction when I dropped the tickets on him after telling him we couldn't afford it and that he'd have to go and see Mamma Mia with his Ma & sister Great video, and well indoctrinated .

I enjoyed the first couple of series of Vikings (although I did swear at the telly when the King of Northumberland started spouting 'God save England')

I enjoyed the first couple of series of Vikings (although I did swear at the telly when the King of Northumberland started spouting 'God save England') King of Northumbria please. We ruled from the Humber to the Firth of Forth. I keep catching bits of Vikings on flights here and there but I've never managed to build up the momentum you need when watching these sort of box sets. I saw the bits on Bamburgh beach and Lindisfarne and must have seen most of the first series but seem to have lost interest.

Just been watching the original Casino Royale which happened to be on TV. Not most people’s cup of tea and obviously objectively it’s a dreadful film but it’s one of my favourites. It’s just so insanely psychedelically silly - possibly the daftest film of all time and easily best watched in company when pissed or stoned, but it makes me laugh like a drain even when sober.

I've tried listening to Ghost, but I just can't shift the idea that they are Blue Oyster Cult re-imagined from my head. Have you heard the new Alice In Chains album yet? I think it's going to be a grower like Dinosaurs was - took me a good few months and many listens to get into that one and is now one of my firm favourites in the car.

I thought Ghost sounded great right up until the singing started. (We are talking about Ghost who have the singer dressed up as a skeleton with a pope's hat on aren't we?).

Yep,his voice is not great, very mediocre at best, but they have some killer tunes. And his look is somewhat different now, still very odd.

I watched it, same old same old. Tiff and Potato doing battle, Jonny Whatsisname doing the semi-serious journo bit, team test where one of them doesn't like the car but the rest do. The only change was the random guy with the massive sideburns telling us how to get more power out of a Subaru Impreza like it's 1998 all over again.

I thought they were drifting (pun) into the format of last TG. Either way they brought nothing new and frankly the entire format was an epic fail. Nothing wrong with OTG challenges per se, some were just done to excess. The guest format could have done with meat on the bones or ditching.

Glad it’s back on and enjoyed it , apart from the Subaru bit. Leave that sort of thing to wheeler dealers instead of cramming an intercooler change in to about 4 mins
It’s been done to death but I don’t get the moaning ? It’s a programme about cars . Pretty much fuck all else on tv these days anyway

Something different on a more modern car might have been more apt, though there's less and less the average home mechanic can do these days.

Pretty much the first mod I did to my Legacy was a front mounted intercooler.

I thought it was OK and agree with Andy.
Interesting to be reminded that the top performance saloons of 10ish years ago had similar performance (and weigh more) than the 750, not what most would expect. The C63 is in desperate need to 4WD, would be a cracking car with it, TC cutting power when accelerating from 50ish in the dry is a bit crap.
