It'll need that massive spoiler to keep the 84bhp from the 1.2 engine in check.

"...beautiful interior...". £7,500 for that? Are they mad? Nice to see it comes with the hand warmer in the rear window...

OMFG. That is just really, really naff, chavvy and tasteless in every possible way. And you think having spunked god knows how much on all the tatt, the owner would at least clean under the bonnet.

When are you picking it up Bob? I'm busy checking out measurements to see if the dog cage can fit.

Now you see if that was a Koenig that would be fucking awesome though a Koenig knock off doesn't quite work. Do we all not remeber the awesome Testarossas, 928 and SL's they built in the 80's. Companies like Strosek, B&B and Gemballa. www.1000sel.com/index.php/the-1000sel-mercedes

I loved the Strosek Porsche 928 that appeared in Fast Lane at one point. For some reason they'd decided that the rear window look wasn't right and replaced it with a Jag XJ-S style vertical window but with the side glass forming some strakes. Weird. EDIT Actually, look at images 2 and 3 here (a Version II), this might be very similar to the Fast Lane one, i.e. without the modified rear window. I really like it, not so sure about the ones further down though. www.1000sel.com/index.php/strosek/porsche-928-bodykitsAnyway if Bob wants to transport Tricky Woo in a fancy Merc then how about this? www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1266628

^ My problem with that is, to the untrained eye, it looks like a Barry'd up Merc.

^ My problem with that is, to the untrained eye, it looks like a Barry'd up Merc. It is a barried up Merc. AMG Mercs are really horrid IMHO -always have been. The 500SEC was far more elegant than the 560SEC and that was a high point! Even the 190 Cosworth is a bit Halfords. And that Strosek Porsche is vomitous as well. They had strange ideas about "cool" in them there olden days, as this Tickford Capri proves. The stock Capri is a far better looker.

Money buys taste, right? I saw one of these, in black and with an awful private reg, last year at the Eurotunnel and struggled not to laugh in sight of the occupants! It turns out there are quite a few on Autotrader That is just beyond hideous.

It's like something from one of those low budget movies set in the future where they clad up a few current cars to disguise them and make them look "futuristic".

How a once mighty name has fallen! W O must be spinning in his grave. One has to feel sorry for companies like Bentley and Rolls Royce. The monied client base that buys their products and the market requirement to make lots of units has meant that they were forced to produce these 4x4 horrors (although the 1930s Bentleys were described by Bugatti as "Europe's fastest lorries" so perhaps they've returned to their Rootes [sic] with these overpowered SUV trucks). Years ago there was some profile of David Sullivan (West Ham owner and erstwhile pornographer) when he was displaying his revoltingly gauche home and when asked by the female reporter if he thought his taste was suitable for other wealthy neighbours' liking he replied "you can't buy it, love". A colleague and I at the time used to just say that phrase to one another whenever someone demonstrated horrific taste.
