I am mortally embarrassed, but yes. All I can plead is a hangover - it was our 25th anniversary party the night before and the heat meant I needed high levels of fluid (and samosa) intake!

Several blatant fouls from Croat players which got by the ref. Sickening. I hope France win.

The future is very bright for the England football team.

Croatia were the better team from 2nd half onwards. Let's face it, four weeks ago if you'd have suggested England would go out in a semi-final, after Germany, Spain, Argentina and Brazil were already home, you'd probably still be in protective custody.
France will annihilate Croatia and that's also good: they would have beaten England too and being beaten by France is far worse than anything else imaginable.

Says it all really. /photo/1 I thought they played like all the other past England teams from the second half onwards. Lacklustre, no organisation or structure, giving the ball away too often and passing it backwards more than forwards... We had a kind draw ,and the manager did a fantastic job in eliminating the club rivalries that hindered previous England teams ,but ultimately you look at the team and there is no truly world class talent there . It was fun to watch and whilst I believe stats only tell part of a story ,england only had 6 shots on target from open play the whole tournament .

Players like Modric who have played in numerous champions league finals know what it takes to find that little weakness in a tiring team to find a way through. There’s no shame in how we lost and overall we gave Croatia a run for their money and refused to roll over. What annoys me is all the talk about this being our one and only chance to win a World Cup. I know Germany, Brazil etc will be taking Stock and working to be stronger for Qatar, but so will England! We’ve got a young side who are just coming in to their prime and will go to Qatar having also had the experience of the next Euros and I believe we’ll be a massive threat next time out, although we need to be more creative in midfield if we’re going to take that next step. Anyway, back to the Premier League and as an Arsenal fan, there’s a real positive in knowing our key rivals, especially Spurs, will start the season without a number of their star players!

As an Arsenal fan I can't wait forward to the change. I'm sure that eager anticipation will be washed away by half time as I'm sitting in my seat for the Man Citeh opener.....

I think they can beat Belgium with a full strength team, I hope so anyway. The quality of some of the top teams has been shocking but thought the French showed some flair although the Belgians should have beaten them imho. England definitely have some potential to grow which I hope they do.

I’m in France for the match so should be exciting and it’s bastille today. I’ve got Croatia in the sweepstake which would return me £64 but I quite like France, oh decisions.
