Looks fantastic out there, I love snow backdrops, something about the air being so crisp just seems to give snaps a boost.

I hope those are winter tyres. 😂 BFGs are one of the few alpine rated all terrain tyres. I chose them for their winter performance.

Fun!
As mentioned, we had flurries in the City although they didn't settle, and my mother said they had a dusting in Suffolk too.

It’s drifted already to a couple of feet in places. The A68 is closed between Riding Mill and Kiln Pit Hill and Allensford Bank is a mess.

We’ve failed a delivery into Grimsby today due to snow, but that’s because the driver ran out of hours due to delays.

Previous experience from many years ago taught me that a Land Rover will go well in the snow, but is not much good at stopping. The irony was that I hit the telephone pole while trying to avoid the oncoming grit lorry.

Just sent back some winter boots I recently ordered. They were great, but I could only get them on with very thin socks on. Gonna get a half size bigger. Dunno if we'll get any snow down here, but we're going to Boston in February... Lincolnshire or Massachusetts ? The latter is, IMHO, more interesting having been there in September. As to the LR in the snow..... fantastic that you are enjoying it, Mark, and must make the purchase and all the effort of rebuilding it worthwhile.

As to the LR in the snow..... fantastic that you are enjoying it, Mark, and must make the purchase and all the effort of rebuilding it worthwhile. Thanks Chris. I have bonded with this vehicle like none I have ever owned. It is seriously flawed, but immensely capable and looks so bloody cool. I nearly cried the first time I drove down a scratchy lane, but at the end, I wanted to do it again. I no longer worry about dents or scratches. The only issue I have in the snow is that the snow piles up in the lip at the bottom of the screen and the wiper sweep diminishes gradually as this happens. It’s a Land Rover thing and totally acceptable to me, but hilarious at the same time. It’s still snowing hard here.

Wasn't even that cold today, for the short spells I was outside. It was. Just a light dusting of fluffy snow. We are at the bottom of a hill and it is always colder. I have a half mile drive to the main road by which time it is normally a degree or two warmer and a totally different look.

Land Rovers and show just go together. Great photos.
The first RR Classic I had coincided with a cold year and we went out in the RR for lunch at the Lake Vyrnwy Hotel - just because we could. Almost had the place to ourselves. Mind you, after lunch we nearly got stuck trying to go and see the view from the summit of the pass above the lake. The snowdrifts defeated us and we had to back 200 yards down a snowy road to turn round. All great fun....

I was in northern France from last Wednesday to last night.... a dusting of snow overnight Wed-Thu, but much of southern France was covered in a white blanket that brought the roads and motorways to a standstill stranding many people, from what I saw on the telly when I was eating breakfast. Who'd have thought that the Med coast around Marseilles etc would be subjected to so much snow so early in the winter?
As for being rescued - who'd not say "Thank you" after such an effort was made ?
