Do you think the moron in the Volvo (I'm generalising here!) knew how much it would take to repair the McLaren if they were careless when opening their door?
Good to see a Countach in the best spec - rear spoiler and pre-Anniverary Halfords bodykit.

Nipped out at lunchtime and saw a new Porsche 911 Targa being manouvered. Not the best 911 and certainly not when painted primer grey with a burgundy roof. What were they thinking?!
Also last night spotted a Discovery 3 being towed by a 10 year old VW Passat estate. Bet that was a bit more weight than ideal.

Someone near me has an Evo 6, I haven’t seen one of them in years. Very clean and driven responsibly, had me wondering what it would be like to own one.
My job pays for my fuel and I get a car allowance so….
Also saw a Mondeo ST220. Very underrated car.

Halfords special this evening: I saw a Ford Focus CC (the hard top convertible) with an aftermarket bonnet scoop that was about a foot wide, and a large rear spoiler, similar to those seen in F1 when they started using rear wings in the 60’s. Was kind of shocked at it to be honest.

Was crossing the road with my son and he commented on this, the driver stopped for us to go across the road and smiled. He was very well dressed and struck me as the kind of person that really enjoyed driving a Rolls Royce, and someone I’d love to talk to about it. My son never notices cars but has a buddy who is into them and he’s commenting on them more often now.

In a nice colour for that model, too.

In a nice colour for that model, too. I thought you’d appreciate it. It was immaculately kept and easily as clean as a new car. Nicest car I’ve seen in weeks!

Followed a recentish Merc A Class last night and it was black. That's all, can't remember when I last saw one that wasn't in 'cheapest PCP deal white'.

3rd gen Scirocco on my travels today. They still look very good to me. Did realise it was a thing to see a Mk3 yet - Mine's just returned from an 'ouch' repair - timing chain slipped and the valves all hit the pistons! - could have added a GTV to the fleet for what it cost

I thought that first one was a McLaren until I looked a little more closely.

I thought that first one was a McLaren until I looked a little more closely. Yeah I did too. The colour and profile match McLaren more than Ferrari. I did wonder if it was owned by Jay Kay from Jamiroquai, as he always bought purple super cars, but not sure if he’s still around or still has the means to buy them. The Bentley was included because it was a Continental outside the Continental.

Although a pain, well worth spending money on it.

Coming past me very fast so I couldn’t really see if it was what I suspect a kit car but a lancia stratos in full rally livery making a very impressive noise . There is also a pub on the way into Shrewsbury being renovated and the owner takes it in turns to arrive in both his original and new NSX both cars you see too little of,

I was passed pretty quickly this morning in a 30mph limit by a really dirty red Alfa Romeo Giuletta from the 1980's. Don't think I have seen one of these in decades!

Couple of real rarities this morning. An Ineos Grenadier on the way to work (really rather underwhelming I felt) and the first G-Wagen I've seen in years on the way home.

I live on the main road home to London from Goodwood so this weekend has seen some pretty rare spots. Too many to list or remember all of but an original 300SL and a champagne gold DB5 were real highlights as was a 1920s sports car being driven by a chap who had more than a passing resemblance to Lord Toad of Toad Hall! (I'm sure Roadrunner would have known the exact model).

I had a week in Ullapool so expected to see a decent amount of interesting stuff doing the NC500. Sadly there wasn't that much - a green NSX (the original one) and a Porsche 928 S4 are the only ones that really stand out. there were a few hot hatch types - Audi RS3, GR Yaris, etc - and a couple of M2s but not the vast quantities I expected. I did see an Audi R8 doing a, er, committed overtake near Gairloch though.

I forgot that we parked next to a 2019 M6 while away and Mrs Tim was hanging her nose over it - not specifically because it was the M but because she likes the look of the 6 series a lot. I haven't looked at prices yet though. EDIT Now had a look at prices and it must've been an M8 that we were looking at. In my defence it had been de-badged.

A 73 plate Lexus RX hybrid. Black, not 100' from my window which is where I see 99% of the cars I see lately. Still not sure what I think about them. The keeper is my neighbour who went from a Renault Modus but it is a Motability car. £2.5k initial payment.
I take that back, it's a Lexus UX..

Had to squint at the suv in front of me as we approached the red lights. It was 4 years old and an Audi Q8.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of them on the road.
