Miami Blue, lush. With Laser Green and Sorrento Green, the three finest colours on a 205GTi My 106 was laser green. Mine was a Key Largo special edition which meant I also got matching seat belts!

Lots of Supercars on the A43/M40/A34 thanks to Supercar Sunday at Silverstone. Many McLarens, Ferraris, Astons, Porsches etc, but also saw a TVR Typhon which must be rarer than them all.

They only ever built three of them.

Yes, I remembered that it was rare but had to Google to check how rare.

My first RR Velar on the road - as it overtook me (I was in the Shogun before anybody asks). It was a rather nice dark grey, but then had the obligatory black roof, rear very dark privacy glass and black wheels. Plus a small sign on the rear bumper that read "prototype vehicle", so clearly an LR development car of some sort.
It does look very different to the Evoque and RRS in the flesh - more so than I expected.

They seem to be testing these and jaguar f types near me,there are 3-4 of each lightly disguised knocking around near me .

Spotted a Ferrari 458 and early 2000s Porsche 911 GT3 (or at least a GT3 bodykitted 911) in St Andrews yesterday. A few weeks ago I saw a current shape 911 that appeared to have been covered with black flock wallpaper.....

It was a Bentayga fest at the local out of town shopping centre this evening. This is the third Bentayga I have seen in Rugby. Got to admit the black one looked really rather good, I am maybe a wee bit warming to them. Do something with the rear lights, their design is a tad bland and that would start to go somewhere like the Continental GT went...from bland to wooow that's a muscly good looker

A Mercedes AMG GT today on my way home. Metallic grey, looked very nice indeed to my eyes. First one I've noticed.

Filled up at the next pump to a super stealthy E63 AMG on a 63 plate, in dark grey. Much want.

Yesterday, after dropping Evan at his football practice, I walked back to my car, which was 4 spaces away from this. The poor woman had driven in and parked with smoke already coming from under the engine somewhere on the nearside, aft of the frontvwheel. She was in a right panic, unsurprisingly, getting her 3 very small children out. I ran to help and assisted to shepherd the children well away, carrying one of them. When I first ran to the car I could only just see flames underneath, behind the front nearside wheel. By the time her and the children were well away from the car, it was properly alight and I managed to shift my car and someone moved theirs which was even closer. This photo was within about 8 minutes, just before trumpton arrived.

Several rare-ish sights.
1. Apache gunship.
2. Chinook.
3. 1930's Bentley of some sort, not close enough to identify properly.

Talbot Sunbeam yesterday; sunny and roof down, nothing particularly exciting about spotting a Sunbeam, however in the car were three girls that I would say were early 20's.
As the guy who was demo-ing the Kadjar which was following them, said; "usually those sort of cars are driven by older men", it was nice to see a car of that vintage being driven and enjoyed by young people, when normally they would be in an air conditioned, modern car with PAS, ABS etc.

At about 6.15 am on Saturday morning (after dropping my daughter at the bus to go to a swimming competition) I saw a double cab pickup of some sort in flames, having veered 90 degrees left off a main 30mph road, through a small wall and smashed in to a tree. There was a small crowd but I have no idea why or how it happened. When I passed again about lunchtime the vehicle was gone and there was just Police tape up around the crash site. No pictures I'm afraid.

I spotted a bright blue McLaren yesterday and on Thursday night a metallic green Lamborghini, it was new and sadly I'm not 100% sure it was a Hurracan (can't believe I'm unable to tell the difference at a glance!).
I also saw some pre First World War thing sitting in a huge traffic jam heading into St Andrews yesterday. I wonder how that stood up to the heat.

I saw a red Porsche 928 GTS on a K reg earlier. It looked in used condition, not tatty but not immaculate. It's still an attractive car.

Tesla Model S on my way in to work this morning. Had to go in a different way to usual and I saw it in the town where I grew up - nothing special about that mind you, I assure you!

my first new Maserati Levante parked up at a petrol station
In dark blue, looked great from the front, less so from the rear which is quite bland and bereft of the badges you'd be hard pressed to immediately identify that as a Maserati, looks very Hyundai/Kia

Aldi this morning: A pair of Corsa's. Nothing rare or unusual about them. Get a grip dear boy Seriously, that Z8 is absolutely bloody sensational, great spot. One of my all time favourite looking cars. Standard version (i.e not Alpina this time) in black....phwarrrr

Standard version (i.e not Alpina this time) in black....phwarrrr I think the point is that you don't expect to see a Z8 on a git plate at Aldi, although I cease to be surprised by the number of posh motors at my nearby Lidl whenever I call in there (which isn't very often these days)

I was viewing on my mobile and didn't notice the git plate. Agree, not a typical place for such a rare exotic but what a great spot. Stunning car
