An Aventador in a rather nice shade of dark blue this afternoon. Heading for Possil though, so it'd be intersting to know how it fared!

Thunderbird, 1960's. Bugatti or lookalike 30's. Land Rover series 1 or 2 soft top roof down. Pristine.

As far as recollection goes, based on the Vauxhall Frontera as a swimming/beach capable recreation vehicle. Memory also say's not many sold.

Hotel car park this morning. A number of Dutch visitors enjoying a few generations of Porsches. Almost had me wondering if it was a magazine article due to the variety.

An XFR-S on the M40. Looked well loved, but had the big rear spoiler which is so out of place and ruins the car.

Took a wrong turn while in Italy yesterday and ended up on a 20km diversion along with accompanying tolls, but the upside was that I was overtaken by a Ferrari 458 that was well over the speed limit. Italians use the limit as a rough guide, the French stick more rigidly to it.
The lack of speed cameras in Italy may have a lot to do with that.
Also saw a Morgan +4 today. Saw one two weeks ago, both red and also on a Sunday so assuming it’s the same one as it was in the same area.

My recent experience was that Italy is knee deep in speed cameras, but they are mostly ignored. I am sure that I must have triggered some, but haven't had any notification yet...

I saw an immaculate Fiesta RS Turbo last night. It even still had the awful 3 spoke alloys

Having lunch outside and looking at an electric blue Alpine A110. Nice looking car.

Saw the same Alpine A110 today, about 30km from where it was yesterday. Was in Geneva this morning and heard an American V8 behind me. Looked and it was a red Ford GT. Also saw a ton of expensive Porsches- all GT3/S models, a Bentley Bentayga (never seen one before and not all that impressed by it) and a FerrariGTC4 Lusso.

I saw an F reg Ford Orion 1.8 D GL last night. Immaculate in burgundy although it had Escort Cossie alloys and appeared to be lowered.

I believe road spec had those at around 250bhp but light so should go a bit. Interesting insurance bill no doubt.

Driving to a rougher part of the city this evening and saw smoke coming from the direction we were heading in. Not 50 yards from our destination, there was a Nissan Micra or similar, in flames. It had been stolen and smashed up and they burned it when they were done. The fire brigade arrived later to put it out. 20 years ago people in that neighbourhood wouldn’t have had cars. Now people use them for their jobs, etc. a car isn’t a luxury item anymore, but someone’s life has been made a lot more difficult after theirs was robbed. Sad to see this happen.

On a lighter note.....
I passed a minibus that was waiting to turn right at traffic lights (I was going straight ahead). It was converted for wheelchair users and had suitable slogans on its sides to say so.
On the rear door was a sticker that bore the legend
"No passengers are kept in this vehicle overnight"
Made me laugh

I saw a Passat B2 - the 2nd square one before they added curves and made it look as if it had no grille - in Kirkcaldy last night. It had that appearance of a high spec one, you know, headrests, tinted glass and alloys.
