Couple of spots today. First was an XK8 on the M80. It was beside me at one point and I thought how good looking it still seems from the side. It then pulled ahead of me and pulled over so it was directly ahed, and .. .. .. GOD, it's a fat munter from the rear isn't it? Really not nice at all.
Lunchtime provided a female person of indeterminate age thrashing a C63 estate - not seen one of those before I don't think.

Was that a Mk1 XK8 - the one that looks like an updated E Type?
I saw an early series 1 Lotus Elise yesterday evening. Looked nice.

I much prefer the look of the subsequent one.

... an i3 plugged into an EV charging point in a Watford car park... I think it's the first time I've seen an EV plugged in and recharging

Two McLaren 570's at the weekend, far apart and on different days, but both in sunny (!) Perthshire. I liked the orange variant while Herself preferred the grey. Each to their own nd all that.

I see a lot of them here in Dundee - there are numerous charging points along the front as you head towards the Tay Bridge. There are always a couple of Renault Zoes or Prius and last week there was some bloke plugging in his Porsche Cayenne hybrid.
I think Dundee has the most per head of population.

An Aston Martin DB4 drove past me yesterday. The bonnet had been removed- I assume for maintenance, but the car and engine looked immaculate.

I think it's the first time I've seen an EV plugged in and recharging A few neighbours have Outlander PHEV's and Leafs that they charge from a box on the garage wall, our local Sainsburys has a couple of charging points that always seem to have at least one car charging, our local IKEA always has a couple on charge and of course the local council offices always have a few charging. The only EV I've not seen charging is a Tesla.

Ferrari day yesterday - I saw a pale blue 355 cab with the roof up, a bright red 550/575 and a hideous bright yellow FF. Yuk.

Saw what I'm fairly sure was an Alfa 145 today. God knows the last time I saw one of them - if ever!

I saw a 288 GTO on Monday afternoon in Sutton. Sounded epic and looked it too.

Heading home through rural North East Fife at about 9:30 last night I caught up with a fully liveried, late 80s Ford Crown Victoria cop car.
I followed it for about 3 miles before turning off at home and I'd guess he probably used a gallon of fuel in that distance judging by the old fashioned smell coming from the car. Lovely.

I saw a Lancia Ypsilon yesterday and another one today (definitely not the same car). I can't recall the last time I saw one, must be years and years ago

Forgot one from a few days ago; a Vignale Mondeo estate, the first (and probably the last) Vignale that I've seen on the road.

Forgot about the Overfinch Defender I saw at the weekend, in a convoy with three other "ordinary" versions. Didn't look as blingy as these type of things usually do. Then today, on the way to work, a rather nice looking XJS giving it beans up one of the longer hills on my commute. Sadly, too far away to get a good look or listen, so no idea what engine it had.

Been meaning to post up for ages that I've seen regularly one of the new Maybachs (S Class based) recently; lovely polished wheels.

Saw one of the new BMW 6 Series last week. I’ve not been keeping up to date with them but thought it looked ok.
Also a Facebook friend in Canada put up a photo from her childhood, with some of her dads cars in it. A Countach and a Dino! Nice...

Noticed there are some new (to me!) charging points in the technology park I pass to and from work. Yesterday there were two Outlander PHEVs and an i8 charging up; I presume there must be some sort of warning chime or something to prevent driving away still plugged in? I ask because both Mitsi's were reversed in against the charging poles.

The Mitsi charge point is beside the petrol flap on the drivers side so you'd probably have to be a muppet to drive away with it still attached!

The ZOE cannot be started with the charge lead still plugged in, so I should imagine other electric and PHEV style cars will have a similar set up.

Saw one of them again today; black cable against a black post, maybe not the easiest thing to see! The ZOE cannot be started with the charge lead still plugged in, so I should imagine other electric and PHEV style cars will have a similar set up. I imagine they will, yes. The i8 charge port appeared to be right in front of the N/S door mirror - a lot harder to notice f there was no warning light/sound.

Managed a better look at this yesterday (sitting in a queue!) and I now see it's just in front of the A-pillar base. Without sitting in it though, I have no idea if the cable is visible from the drivers seat. Moot point I suppose, given the warning klaxon or whatever!
