New Mark II Nissan Leaf on the M3 on my way home. It was in a very dark colour so it was hard to make out styling features, but it was a shape I didn't recognise so I made sure to check the rear badging as it went past me

The Mitsi charge point is beside the petrol flap on the drivers side so you'd probably have to be a muppet to drive away with it still attached! Saw one of them again today; black cable against a black post, maybe not the easiest thing to see! The ZOE cannot be started with the charge lead still plugged in, so I should imagine other electric and PHEV style cars will have a similar set up. I imagine they will, yes. The i8 charge port appeared to be right in front of the N/S door mirror - a lot harder to notice f there was no warning light/sound.
I walked past a black Mitsi PHEV that was plugged in this morning. The charge flap was fully open and appears to be bigger than a fuel filler flap plus the cables were running along the driver's side to the plug in point. There's no way you could miss them, even if the car had been facing the right way the cables come out of the car at right angles and are totally obvious.
I suppose you could miss them if you were some orange harpie with the phone glued to your ear but in that instance I expect you'd rely on your husband to plug the car in anyway!

I saw a Fiat 124 Spider at the weekend, the first I've spotted.
Well, you see 1 of these things and suddenly the roads are full (ish) of them! I reckon I've seen at least 4 in the last 2 days.
I also got followed by a Fiat pickup, something else I've never registered seeing until now. It's certainly a lot better looking than the Mitsi (?) it's based on.

M5 giving it full beans up hill, sounded epic! Also saw an M3, M4, M235i and a Mercedes GTS. Saw all of the current Tesla’s and saw the chassis of a couple too when I was at the Tesla HQ today. They have valet parking for all visitors as they have no spaces at all. I drove around the back of the building and saw the development cars and probably shouldn’t have seen them... Interesting place and much nicer than their factories.

Just seen a brand spanking new 5 series estate in that shimmery grey/brown colour (something quartz) and it was clearly wearing the whole of the M Performance catalogue including, unexpectedly, quad exhausts!
They looked like a factory fit. Didn't see the model designation but there were M badges on the wings (de riguer for every BM nowadays)

^ Did you approve ?
On my weekend run to Nottingham and back, at one point I was passed on the M1 by an Omega Estate which was being followed by a just-superseded-shaped Insignia Estate. I thought that the Omega Estate looked better, and still modern

No. It looked ok in the sun when the paint could do its thing but I'd seen it 5 minutes earlier in shade and the colour looked quite flat.
There's an emerging trend for gloss grey cars with lots of gloss black add-ons, including the wheels, and I haven't seen one yet that looks good. An Audi Q2 seen at the weekend was a particularly low point.

I saw a 991 GT2RS on the M27 this evening being closely chased by his mate in a Giulia QF. It looked and sounded utterly epic.

Saw a glimpse of a white Golf this morning and it had a matt black band down the C-pillar and across the wheelarch. Wasn't that some sort of Nurburgring superGolf from last year?

Sun's out and so are the cars; yesterday I saw a 458 Spider Speciale, a Bentley Brooklands, some rather cool white 80's Rolls Royce convertible with the roof down and an Aventador SV in that bright green.
Auto Italia at Brooklands today so I'm bound to see some tasty metal and there will no doubt be a gaggle of keen amateur photographers at the Seven Hills/Byfleet Road, lights to capture the cars coming off the A3.
Oh yeah and an orange 991 GT2 RS.

Audi R8 and a Nismo 370Z. A load of BMW M cars but I saw a 1M which I really like as a small car. I also saw an opossum which crossed the road this morning in front of the car...

Yesterday seemed to be the day of German upper-echelon saloons; no fewer than 4 new or newish M3's, an M4 which was tail-gating one of the three's onto the M80 in the morning, 2 E63AMG's and an exception to the Germanness in the form of a Lotus Exige.
Not bad for my neck of the woods.

That's reminded me that I saw a Smurf Blue current shape M3 at the weekend. This was proper Smurf Blue, rather than that pastel blue they had at launch.
It was a very, er, eye catching colour.

G30 M5 being driven as if it were being run in. I don't think they're very elegant or brutal.
"meh" is the word to use.

Nothing of much interest in Coventry, but an Italian-regsitered Tesla Model S charging at Gretna services, joined just as arrived by a Vantage 'S' Roadster, whci parked two spaces up from the Tesla!

I spotted a Lexus Coupe thing in a sort of tangerine colour yesterday and then 5 minutes later a same coloured Lexus RH SUV. Both in Glasgow, so perhaps the colour had been chosen to match the driver's skin colour (which would explain the black roof to match the eyebrow slugs too). Also spotted an Aston Rapide and an immaculate E30 3 series that was a lowly model.
I saw a late model E30 M3 in Kirkcaldy at the weekend too.

Passed in Bishopbriggs town centre by a orange-striped black Roush Mustang this evening, which let rip at traffic lights further along the road. Awesome noise! then, going the other way a few minutes later, a Ducati 1198. Want one!

Not my spot but my brother in law was heading to our house yesterday and says he saw a 911 GT3, Aston Vantage and one of the McLarens (he says a Senna but how do you tell unless you can walk around the car to actually see the badge?) driving along ahead of him towards the village. Sounds like a comparative test to me, I presume they were seeking some atrocious roads to check out how well the cars perform over potholes.
