Lindsay was in Porsche Silverstone today (MOT time, passed with flying colours) and this was her view.... It’s not immediately obvious from the picture and she says it doesn’t do it justice as all, it’s a dark purple which she loved. £150k inc £13k options You're right, it isn't, but easily seen when you know it's there! I'm not usually a fan of purple O(other than the 'Deep' sort) but I do like that. Not so keen on the price, mind!

That price probably explains why the 911 only makes up about 15% of Porsche sales these days!

I would hazard a guess that the price is a result of niche marketing within a brand. They sell fewer but make more money on extra's which as we know, take more than a little breath away. Try half a wallet. All the time they make the basic bucks with the SUV. I still like the 911 but that comes from the time when they were in the region of 50k rather than 150k.

Ford Scorpio saloon, 1992 vintage on the M4 today; haven't seen one for years I'd forgotten what a fucking ugly car they were: (File pic!):

Went into the Tesla store in San Jose earlier this week. Sat in all the cars and asked about a test drive. They are very willing to give them to potential customers and the sales guy gave me his card. It was too late for one when I was there so I’ll pencil one in for the next time I’m there. The Difference between the cats is interesting. The Model X is quite a bit nicer inside than the lesser models.
I’ll post an update when I get out in one.
Saw a ton of Panameras while I was there and an orange Lexus RC. It wasn’t the best colour for it.

I just wish that Tesla would do something a bit more interesting with their cars and make them less minimalistic inside. A few years ago when I went in a Tesla for the first time I realised it had no door pockets at all - it might look great but where do you keep the ice scraper, sun glasses, bottle of water etc etc. Practical things like that make a big difference to the ownership experience instead of the quick test drive when you don't notice.

Hideous. I quite often see an early pre-facelift hatchback one, I think its a Ghia trim going by the wheels.

A DB11 convertible on the road between Silverstone and Banbury, didn’t look to have any disguise, but we were going quickly in the opposite direction.

a fully disguised Jaguar i-pace.
Could instantly still tell it was the new i-pace from seeing published spy pics. Seemed smaller than I thought it would. Slim headlights gave it away too. Not sure what size compared to the e-pace it is

I've just seen a new BMW 740d XDrive in a frozen dark grey colour. I could feel the value plummeting from across the street!

First generation Nissan Micra GL. I thought all of those would have rusted away by now.
How many left has 12 currently taxed and 26 on SORN.

I saw an 80’s Lincoln Town Car limo today. Painted gold with black vinyl roof. It really was as bad as it sounds.

An 18 year old Citroen Xantia in very nice condition - a car I'd completely forgotten existed, but an attractive looking car nonetheless.

Some commitment this morning. Morgan plus 8 with an aero windscreen, no doors and a suitcase strapped to the back just outside Northampton at 7am. Couple in their 60s, wearing open faced helmets with a visor. Heading towards some heavy rain.....

That is odd ,I came on to post that I had seen 2 Morgan’s and 1 caterham all without roofs on on my drive to oxford ,it was utterly pissing down .

Rotten Audi A6 - never seen an Audi this bad I'm willing to bet that at some point, the owner has attempted to jack the car at that exact point on the sill and damaged it. From there, it has corroded.

Maserati quattroporte on the road by the estate. Black and the driver gave a little bootfull out of both of the mini roundabouts but whose benefit it was for I do not know. Extremely nice and a bit of a treat.

This morning I wondered why my local Mitsubishi dealer was selling a brand new Lexus RX until I got closer and realised it was a facelifted Mitsubishi Outlander!

Better than the small wheeled white one I saw, but still a bit of a (stretched) mess at the back.

On Saturday I saw a pastel green Vauxhall Chevette (bog basic 3 door) on the back of a transporter heading up the A9 and then a little later a pastel green MGC GT (the 6 cylinder one).

A dull red Peugeot 107 on the way back in to town, on the back, LITTLE Ferrari. On a Fiat maybe but a Peugeot?

At the weekend I got followed for a couple of miles down the A9 by a Rolls Royce Dawn that, when it got the chance, was driven enthusiastically off into the distance.

My flying club holds a discussion/moaning/whatever night in a local school every winter Thursday night.
Tonight when we exited, the was a Huracan Performante sitting outside the school, in that rather fetching, subtle shade of YELLOW Lamborghini favour.
I suspect it's the same one I glimpsed and heard blatting about at the weekend.

Just been inside the Tesla HQ, we are looking to work with them, didn’t get into the factory proper, but maybe next time. I arrived in a V8 Porsche Cayenne... not mine, but not bad inside.

I saw a yellow Cayman GT4 at the decorators wholesalers next to our office earlier. Looked much better than I’d of expected it to in that shade.
