I’ve just had a quick scan through the configurator to see what else is missing from the standard spec. Carpet mats! They want £105 for a standard set or £205 for the premium ones.
Out of interest, I got to £56k for a D240 (without going mad), which means it would be £223 a month more than the 535d with the same deposit/term/mileage. That’s pretty close to a well specced Macan GTS and about £120-130 more than a new SQ5 or GLC43 if an SUV is your thing.

I saw this rather discreet sticker on the back of a VW yesterday. It reads, "Thank you JESUS. Without you I had been lost".

One must keep the collection plate in mind when setting a sticker price.

The owners have an Escalade with the same sticker on the back.

Been seeing a Kia Stinger on my way in to work for the past few weeks (Kia head office is near work), what a fantastic looking car:

Saw an Alpina B7, an M6, bunch of Tesla’s, Dodge Challenger V8 RT (I Think- non standard model but not a HellCat), rose in the back of the latest model BMW 320i which has not grown in the legroom compartment since the E46... and a lot of traffic.
And I also saw a brand new Nissan Skyline GTR. Fantastic looking in a Japanesey car way.
Forgot the Maserati Quatraporte and a second Challenger RT.

A colleague is good friends with the DP of a Kia dealership, to be able to sell the Stinger a dealer has to have both a showroom and a demo Stinger, that is £80k tied up in 2 cars to sell a handfull, they aren't going to be selling the Stinger!

They'll get some sort of funding pack to put those in place though.
I saw a showroom fresh Pug 306 cabrio on Saturday. Must've just been washed as there was absolutely no grime on it! It was bright yellow.

Walked past BMW Park Lane earlier, every car in the showroom is white! In their defence, they have a winter promotion on, but so does MINI next door and they had a mix of colours.

I'd have loved a white 325ti with sunroof. Only aware of 3 cars in UK unlike pretty much most other colours. Colour goes in cycles though - E30 was easy to get hold of in white ...even now

One of the last Reliant Robin types from 1999. In the Asda car park, apparently the owner was involved in the company many years ago and when the company was being would up had the opportunity to buy a prototype Clubman estate, a one off. Nice unrestored condition but needed some tlc.

Almost opposite ends of the spectrum, I saw a rat rod with a Ford V8 in it, and also saw a Snow Cat- one of those 4 track snow machines.

There is a new RS5 in town that I see quite frequently. I saw it yesterday and it really is a mess. Red probably not helping its cause but the car is a compelling argument for less is more when it comes to creases in the bodywork.

Sounds quite good but looks a bit of a mess with too many creases and that strange slash/vent/badge on the front wing which looks out of place to me. It is battleship grey which might mean it has replaced the RS3 in the same colour that I haven't seen for a while. The C63 they have just sounds and looks so much better even in saloon form (white of course)

Just witnessed an incident outside my window which makes me think some people should just have their licences removed.
3 lane 30mph dual carriageway normally with some cars parked in inside lane. An ambulance was coming along with blues and twos which is quite a regular occurrence when it suddenly started to use its HGV type horn in a real frenzy, in addition to the siren. I looked up and saw all the cars in the outside lane move over to the middle lane, with the exception of a lady in the big Kia 4x4 who stopped in the outside lane right in front of the ambulance. No doubt she didn't want to be troubled with having to pull over when she was turning right to M&S in 200 yds. The ambulance had to stop quickly and then apply full lock as if parking, to get round the moron. Some people really should be disqualified.

I think a lot of people panic and freeze when there's an ambulance coming. I saw something daft a while back - ambulance coming the other way, cars it was catching slowed, then stopped, cars in front of me did the same thus creating a tight chicane for the ambulance. The correct thing would've been for the cars going my way to continue and clear the obstruction!

I try to get out of the way of any of the siren owners. Most notably a car chase on the A9 and I had to mount the pavement to avoid a head on with the sandwhich coming at me. Not altogether impressed with the wave I got from the passenger.
