I like both, the fiat version has clear signs of the 124 spider to me and is the better for it. Apart from inside where it is just too similar to the MX-5.

True but then budget will force a compromise like it does with any cooperative effort. I am looking forward to the Toyota/BMW sports car project. A greater budget and possibly earlier involvement may improve the cabin, I hope so.

Saw one of the early model Tesla’s, the sporty one. Forgot how small they are. Also saw a Toyota Mirai a shed load of every other Tesla model (I was down near the factory), a load of BMW’s M cars, AMG models of every type and a rather nice looking new 911 convertible.

Seen a couple of the new Alfa SUV's over the last few days, must admit, it is a nice looking car. We all sat in one at the NEC Classic and came to pretty much the same conclusion. It certainly is one of the better looking of the current crop of SUVs.

Yesterday I managed to hear a 440i Gran Coupe and an M4 yesterday, both driven at some pace. No doubt, the M4 was louder, but it still sounds nasty to these ears – desperate with too many farts – nothing like a BMW six. The 440i was quieter, but it sounded a lot nicer – it had that typical inline six growl without sounding all desperate.

The new baby jag suv parked outside the Tesco’s in stow on the wold. Doesn’t work as well as the f pace.

I saw one on the M40 on Friday and agree, the F Pace looks much better. It has scrolling indicators too.....

Saw a couple of older things over the weekend - a Vauxhall Frontera and a Mk2 Espace. I can't remember when I last saw one of either.

Earlier this week I saw Lewis Hamilton's 2015 championship winning car hanging on the wall in the atrium of a Swiss bank in London.

just been followed home for a few miles by the brand new Audi A8 - in black. Didn't get to see the rear but front does look very smart and expensive and side profile looked sleek as I looked in the mirror as I turned into a side road. Think I'd still have an S-Class just for the road presence and total look of luxury

I saw a new XF estate earlier. They’ve made a right mess of the rear, I thought it was a hearse when I first approached it!

Just seen a white Golf convertible - pulling a caravan. Not sure that's entirely legal; even if it is, you certainly wouldn't see me doing the same!

I don't think it looks bad but perhaps a bit too much like a Mokka to justify its significantly hefty price tag. Not exactly large either but it is bound to do well.

I've just specced a 300hp version and I am at £56K with loads I could still add. I have difficulty seeing why you should have to pay £110 for locking wheel nuts £47 for a warning triangle and £50 for a first aid kit as well as lots of other cost options such as wireless charging for mobiles etc.
The picture of the red car on the Jaguar website looks really good but when I specced up cars lower down the range they looked pretty crude on their small wheels and without a bit of bling.
The boot is 577 litres so it appears to be bigger than it looks and with a few of the essential extras it will probably be about £35K to put a decent diesel on the road and £45K for the first of the petrols. Unless utility is your choice, I can't seem to spec a car with less than about £5K of extras! Probably just me but it is easy to add nearly £15K to the price with things I have become used to!!

I am staggered that an upmarket car doesn't have locking wheelnuts and a warning triangle included. Pathetic.
I take it 'they all do that, sir'?

It’s not something you read about a lot these days. As for warning triangle, it’s not a legal requirement in the UK. I imagine they do include them in Germany.
