The latest M3/4 is utterly meh, sonically-speaking, and seems to attract the thick of neck. A pity.

Came across a crash this evening. All occupants seem to be ok. An older Hyundai Accent rear ended a very nice looking Maserati...

There was an impressive convoy on the Fosse Way yesterday consisting of three F-TYPE Project 7s - the lead one being Harry Metcalfe's - at least four E-types, what I think was an Aston Martin DB6, plus one of those gargantuan Vantage Volantes of mid-90s to early-00s vintage and a previous generation Mustang.

I took my Dad out for a drive round the south/east coast of Fife yesterday and I think I saw more convertibles with the roof down than I have for the whole of the year prior to that!
I also saw a Maserati GC in beige with black bonnet in St Andrews, sounded brilliant.

Was passed on the M3 this morning by a 67-plate Megane tourer/estate. Looks inoffensive, maybe this is the only one in the UK as I've not seen one before?

I forgot I saw a shit brown (that's the official name for that colour in the BL palete) Allegro on the Edinburgh City bypass on Friday. One of the drop tops I saw at the weekend was an original Lotus Elan.

The official name was/is "Russet Brown"; one of my dad's company cars, a "wedgie" Princess was supplied in that same colour and I remember the name from ordering a tin of touch-up paint

My dad's Allegro Estate was Dog Turd Brown, I seem to recall.

I like those Megane estates, not seen many but they work better than most. Saw a Ferrari Lusso in town earlier, seen a few FF's but this was the first of the facelift version I've seen.

Spotted a BMW E34 525i last night in 'early '90s silver'. Looked to have a decent amount of patina (i.e. rust!).
It's been a while since I saw one on the road but this one in particular reminded me of being a young trainee and the senior partner getting one (when he got his licence back after a drink-driving conviction!) in 1992. It seemed an exotic choice back then when BMWs were still fairly rare.

Sat next to a new MX-5 (in red) at Port Dundas lights yesterday, having driven up alongside it. Couldn't help but notice how 'Vette Stingray-like it is from the rear 3/4 especially. Liked the look of it actually, first one I've seen in the metal.

I see one fairly regularly on the morning commute and the rear 3/4 reminds me of 1960s things like the Midas, rather than a 'Vette. I'll have to bear that in mind next time I see it.

A very special spot today for me, although it was my brother who saw it while many miles from home on a business trip to Devon. In a fluke, one-in-a-million chance he spotted something familar parked on the roadside, so went back to take a photo.
Our dad's old Jaguar, sold about three years ago, a few months before he died, due to him being too ill to use it any more. He ran it for about 18 or 19 years and it was his pride and joy. It has since had a Jaguar leaper added to the bonnet and was apparently in pristine condition, clearly now belonging to another keen Jaguar enthusiast. So pleased to see that it has not fallen into the wrong hands.

Just seen a G reg Renault 19 hatchback. It was a 1.4 energy model. Can’t be many left, no idea when I last saw one.

A Guards Red 911 GT3 on the road today near Evesham. It was a 991 model but I wasn't looking closely enough to tell whether it was a Gen 1 or Gen 2 car. It was going in the opposite direction to me. Registration was F6 MLN, I think. Looked pretty good, anyway!

A bright yellow Evora, which I think was a 410 Sport. Spotted fleetingly as I passed a roundabout it was aproaching, near Chipping Norton.

...a very tidy and original-looking DS21 on the streets of Copenhagen, a lot better-looking than the matt drab olive CLS I saw yesterday in the same city. What was the owner of that one thinking ??

Saw a what I thought was a current shape Mazda MX5 Coupe' today, after a bit of googling it appears it isn't a Coupe' but a kind of targa; looks good in the press shots, looks shit in real life, I'm still not warming to the new MX5.

Form what I can gather it’s called the MX-5 RF. it has bigger buttresses than an XJ-S! I like the new MX-5. The interior is a huge step up from what has gone previously.

I like both, the fiat version has clear signs of the 124 spider to me and is the better for it.

Seen a couple of the new Alfa SUV's over the last few days, must admit, it is a nice looking car.

I saw a 1981 Alfa Giulietta and 2 Alfasuds today (along with various other 10-15 yr old Alfas). That's probably a result of the MOT place being an Alfa/Fiat specialist
