The Punto was in its usual place today, too, along with a MINI next to it and there was a Corsa parked on the path where that van was...

The Citroen: What's with the comedy ride height and the wheels that don't look central in their arches?

He will have the ride height set to maximum.
I tend to find those old C5s are often driven by old giffers or people who shouldn't really have a license.

Quality bit of parking abandonment by a neighbour last night. I've stayed in a few places that would have been kicked in even before I first saw it at about 11pm last night! This is the wifely half of he couple who live there with their two boys and girl. Only the oldest boy drives (a '14-plate Fester ST) but aside from that and this 1-er there's a lwb Transit, Mk.2 RS Focus, a Mk.6 (or 6.5) Fester the guy races, occasionally a Punto and a Suzuki SX4. Oh, and the fuck-off big trailer he uses to tow various things on (including a racing quadbike he has in the garage with his two big trail bikes) which you can see between the Beemer and the Fiesta van behind it. All on the wage of a Post Office LGV driver! Anyway, with no further ado .. .. ..

Two special twats at work. Special Mercedes twat appears to have driven in with a flat tyre, too. These two cunts must be having a competition or something. This morning's efforts. A win to the Merc today, I reckon?

Deleted my Fartobucket account - what do others recommend? Most places I care to upload photos to have their own program to facilitate it, like this place has, or e.g. Farcebook, (occasionally) Instagram etc. I have yet to source a hosting site I both like and find easy to use, though must confess I haven't really been looking.

Alex Harvey sings Jacques Brel, I see!
I realise that this is small beer in comparison with a lot that appears here:

Hmm . . .the Alex Harvey bit's correct, but AFAIK it's his own composition (Next!). Unless you're referring to style, in which case my apologies - I'm not familiar with M. Brel's work.

Tosspot bloke in a new M2 in a mother and baby space in Budgens. No baby in evidence, obviously...

I'm sure the mothers and babies will be just fine parking a bit further from the door.

When they are very little, the extra width is a massive help with the pushchair and car seat-bound. Extracting them in the usual slots can be hard work (and increase the risk of them dinging your car) - that's why they are designated, not the distance. No kids in your house, I'm guessing.

Managed fine without them growing up. The extra space will have likely helped with access on the M2, quite big doors on those.

It's a space if you need space.

It's a space if you need space. As is a space marked reserved, ambulance or disabled, then? EDIT: I just re read your comment. I see what you did there...

I suspect most cars were rather narrower when we were growing up, too.

I suspect most parents were more active, too. Obesity statistics certainly support that.

In addition there were far less of these edge of town superstore complexes.

They are certainly around when I grew up. I do think if the parent child/parking spaces were on the far side of the carpark then they'd find less use and in most cases the parents and children could do with the exercise.

They were only starting to be built up here around the time I stopped going to the shops with my folks. Mostly they had been in a large shopping centre in the middle of town up to that point.
I'm surprised that they always appear to be closer to the door than any of the disabled spaces though.

The Shitroen twat at my work parks on the piss every day without fail and now sets off a chain reaction it seems. There were about 6 cars in a row this morning, all parked on the cock, with the Shitroen at the end of the row. I saw the driver for the first time the other evening. Big fat fucker, about 20 stones worth. I will therefore use my prejudicial nature to assume he's lazy as well as fat...

I saw some Italian/Spanish parking manoeuvres across the road from the office this morning.
An old red Polo was parked with a black SLK 6 inches behind him and a blue 3 series about 6 inches in front of him. I saw the driver walk up to the Polo, look at the space at the back, then at the front and then shook his head. He had to walk around the front of the BMW to get to his car because the gap between the cars was too small. However what came next was quite painful to watch. He reversed and thumped the SLK quite hard which I think gave him a fright. He then trickled forward until his bumper rested on the back of the 3 series and he gave it welly. He moved the 3 series a foot or so and set off the alarm. He then gently reversed until he touched the SLK and gave it a shove which didn't seem to do much. He then performed about 5 or 6 short moves back and forward to get an angle out and disappeared. I think the SLK or 3 series drivers are the likely culprits in giving him no space but they have certainly been paid back with interest!

I guess part of the appeal of bangernomics is that it's not the end of the world if people do things like that to you!

We Honeymooned there, and creating that little bit of extra room for oneself was clearly just How It Is. I'd have to drive a shed to live in such a place.

This may be a controversial post but in some ways I agree with how the owner of a brand new Aston Martin Vantage S V12 parked his shiny black gorgeous looking car today... I was driving so couldn't take a pic, but anyway it was in a huge Sainsburys car-park, he had parked over two spaces, straddling the white line between the spaces but he had parked in the quietest spot in the car-park, the furthest away from the store and unless the store is busy (Christmas and the like) very unlikely that anyone would park there, but some would and there is always a chance. So I guess to prevent anyone from potentially catching his pride and joy with their car or an errant bag etc if he had parked in one of the bays closer to the store he had parked in such a way that he could open his door freely and other cars were parked sufficiently far away to prevent a door opening onto his Aston. I don't usually condone this parking behaviour but he had parked the furthest away from the store and I guess if I had spent £140k on a new car I would tend to do the same as I would be pissed to the max to find even a minute scratch on the bodywork caused by some clumsy wanker
