Electric cars have such a high cost to build you end up with a situation where the eGolf is as cheap used as the eUp. I think if you’re hung up on it having a premium badge the BMW is the way to go but I understand Kia and Hyundai make a good electric car.

It's not a premium badge that's the issue. I looked at the Zoe. And I don't exactly consider a smart "premium" - after all my wife had a fortwo before her 500 (and a Saxo before that).
The Hyundai and Kia offerings are all quite large and not un-pricey as a result.

What about a Kia Soul?

We have a friend who recently bought a Kia Niro to replace a Nissan Leaf. He says it is a country mile better in every way and he gets about 240 miles out of a charge driving like a loony. I think the Soul has the same battery and is smaller.
But come on Racing let's get this sorted. Take your wife to see all the possibilities (Mini?) find out which one she really wants, you give the garage a £5K deposit on the QT and then the balance is what your wife pays/finances. Even if you can't do that surely you can rationalise it through the eco benefits and the ability to come and go in the city as and when you want without additional charge. If it is a London only car I wouldn't worry too much about range as long as you can get a charging point put in at home.
The i3 is a bit bigger than it first appears but it is also a great city car being not too wide and it has a wheel in each corner and taxi like capabilities.
EDIT: if you want to lease one there are some great deals. I had a few e-mails last week with cars under £200/mth incl VAT.
EDIT2: Or would her employer buy her one as a company car for a similar reduction in salary. She would save the tax and NI on the salary given up and would face no tax charge for the car this fiscal year and only 1% next year and possibly 2% the year after. If you can get an employer to do this it can be very cost effective.

One of my wife's cousins has one and she has commented more than once on how ugly it is.

It looks like the eUp and it’s Skoda/Seat siblings can be had for £15k used but I’ve no idea what they’re like. The more affordable electric car market does seem to be full of Leafs and other completely undesirable offerings.

I think it looks good too.
KIA could be the way forward when it comes To electric cars with the 7 year warranty . Especially if you’re buying used
in 4 years time, when instead of doing say 120miles, its only getting 80miles out of a charge, with 3 years warranty left , Wonder where you stand on saying I’ll buy the car as long as you put a fresh battery in.
My iPhone battery’s fucked. it’s only a year old but it’s because it’s charged every Day .

Mini Electric should be high on your list. Premium feel; all-electric; around £300/month PCP with some toys.

Do you reckon his pacemaker is due to give up in the next year or so? If so it will be Comma La as the first female president.

She has her pronouns on her Twitter profile which is also a red flag. What does that mean? (I've never been on Twitter). I'm sure one's not supposed to say such things, but I'm not a huge fan of Ms Harris. It's the vwoice I think - there's something in the tone that has a similar effect on me to nails scraped across a chalkboard.

You really haven't been on Twitter have you? Others, Sam Smith and the like, who recently disclosed they want to be a mummy, would have they/them as they identify as gender non-binary. What you you've done above is assumed gender. This is an unforgivable crime in the modern world that concludes with the incantation that trans women are women and NHS documents start referring to, "people with cervix's" instead of women.

Isn't it more that someone asked her how to pronounce it rather then her releasing it?
