Ok, but those don't seem like major differences from my car to me.
I see from running the private plate through the MoT check that the previous owner replaced it with a new blue Porsche Macan, presumably another Turbo judging by the emissions figure. So he/she was presumably pleased with the first one.

I don’t think they are huge differences either (ignoring the obvious joke about noticing an extra 10cm), all I was saying is it isn’t a small car. It’s one of the largest mid size SUVs.
Sounds like you’re giving it a lot of thought, have you got authority to proceed?

The pictures are up and I see it's still for sale..... Not a big fan of the wheels, but it does looks good from the outside. Really don't like the interior. As it's fairly dark brown, it would be OK if it was just the seats or maybe the seats and lower dash, but it's a complete sea of brown including the steering wheel (which should always be black), trim strips, headlining, carpet, mats.... Porsche Swindon always take their pictures inside in low light, I think the brown is lighter than it looks in their pictures. Surprised it's still got a lot of blank switches with a decent spec.

Well I certainly wasn't going to make any decision sight unseen. Plus I've been working 14hr days in the past week so just didn't have time to deal with it.
I got a video about two hours ago.
It's nice. I like the colour, I love the wheels and I like the interior. I think it's sufficiently dark for me. Yes it's "all very brown" but I'll take that over "all very black" any day of the week.
Minuses - it doesn't have sun protection glass. Having realised what a difference that can make this year, I find that quite a big minus point. It's also a shame it has the full exterior black pack. I prefer them with the silver trim around the side glass.

I prefer them with the silver trim around the side glass. The ones you'll have seen with tinted rear windows will mostly just have privacy glass (only one Turbo for sale with option 3 below), which will have minimal benefit when it is hot/sunny, it's not 'sun protection' glass. There are 3 options on a Porsche. The Golf has the equivalent of option 1 and the RR has option 3 with double glazing and there's a huge difference, but to be fair there's a big difference between the RR and the sun protection glass I had in the last two BMWs because it's also on the front windows and windscreen (like options 2 and 3), but the BMWs were a lot better than the Golf at reducing heat build up. Privacy Glass - Dark-tinted glass in the rear side windows, as well as in the rear screen Acoustically insulated laminated glassThermally and noise insulated laminated glass for all-round more efficient reflection of infrared radiation: - noticeably improved acoustics due to minimal external noise - UV protection - reduced heat build-up in the interior - theft-inhibiting Acoustically insulated laminated privacy glassThermally and noise insulated laminated glass for all-round more efficient reflection of infrared radiation: - noticeably improved acoustics due to minimal external noise - UV protection - reduced heat build-up in the interior - theft-inhibiting - dark-tinted glass for the rear side windows and the rear screen

It was really this summer using the car in July and August in scorching hot places like Puglia where we realised what a difference BMW's sun protection glass makes - I learned to park the car arse-on to the sun. The sunroof also has it and mine also has the tinted sunstrip at the top of the windscreen, which I think may have an additional option.

That interior colour reminds me of Blarno's remark about being the colour of canine genitalia...
And it has the basic headlights.

I see what you mean.
The car itself doesn't tempt me. Coalhole spec.

I have the black leather with black trim and headlining and I quite like it. It’s like slipping into a comfortable pair of Alvin Stardust’s gloves.

Both my 330d and M5 had all-black interiors but they were both lifted by lashings of walnut trim.
I could do black leather in a Macan if it had the walnut trim.

A full panoramic roof will help brighten in up, they let in a lot more light than a sunroof. I really like my all black with dark wood (black burr ash) interior, it doesn’t feel like a coal hole, helped by the huge amount of glass in the roof.

I would have no problem with a black interior if I had a sunroof. A panoramic one just reduces the potential problem even further.

I could not spend £40+k on a non-Quadrifoglio Alfa whatever the colour scheme. That's an exercise in burning banknotes.

I like them but completely unsuitable as there isn't anywhere near enough luggage space.
I'm mostly tempted to stick with the 440i while we are locked down. It was just that particular Macan that caught my eye whilst browsing.

It seems to me that everyone (and I include myself) is anti-SUV for a whole host of reasons until they actually get one and then they become converted. If we were to have only one car it would be a SUV. Prophetic you were.

I find this abhorrent to say, but, the only new car I would consider would be a Defender. I know, it makes me cringe but that is the truth of it.

Nice
But why is it 'undergoing preparation'? Is that to get the smell of car journalist out of it?

Lovely but I'm not about to spend £80k on one.

Still can’t get my head around £79k for a second hand 3 Series estate. Just does not compute….
