Makes you wonder whether all that rioting was socially engineered by withholding information, what with elections on the horizon an' all that, eh? And it's obviously going to start all over again when the 4 cops get off...

Its pretty clear the cops aren't to blame from that video and if the pressure on the neck is a well taught method of restraining the suspect then I can't see any problem. However if these cops have been charged with murder then we're not seeing the other evidence that might find them guilty.
What is relevant to the BLM movement is why people like George Floyd find themselves in these situations and that could be down to a lack of prospects for your average lower class African American.

.....lack of prospects for your average lower class African American. Tell that to a redneck in a trailer park. There is a racism issue in the USA that makes any race issue in the UK pale a bit. However in terms of role model based change both countries need to see more boring examples of black success in everyday life so that the get-rich-quick-and-dangerously role models slip into the murky undergrowth. The whole “white privilege” thing is based on the number of white people in comfortable positions as opposed to the number of white people living in trailer parks. |
