Thought we should have a sharing thread so we can either say what we've done different / new / after a long period of procrastination. Then others can try too.
I'll start.
I've never done the Rubik's cube aside from taking it apart and putting it back together in the '80s. Yesterday I went online, found the algorithm page and did it for the first time ever. I will now learn the algorithm so I can do it off-pat.

Affinity which is software for creating documents, improving photographs and designing etc is on half price due to the corona situation. It brings it closer to my potential price level and retains some level of income for Serif. Learning, or trying anyway. The ipad version of photo is now £9:99 for example. affinity.serif.com/en-gb/
Designer for graphic art is the same price for the ipad.

1. Work. I have to read a number of papers on the government’s new business support funding schemes in order to prepare a client briefing alert.
Assuming that’s not all-consuming:
2. Gardening. Am hopeful that for the first time, we might get some flowers on the wisteria at the front and at the back of the house - there are some promising-looking buds.
3. Leather-cleaning - have an extensive shoe-cleaning kit, so will set out resuscitating various older pairs of shoes and wife’s handbags.
4. We have a piano. I could dust off my teenage Grade 4 and relearn. It’s a Yamaha digital so I can do it with headphones on to avoid driving my wife spare...
5. Paint - I used to paint and have an easel, spare canvases and box of paints in the loft. Should dig them out.
6. Exercise - we plan to convert our largely unused mezzanine room into a gym - need to dig the yoga mats, inflatable medicine ball and weights out of loft...
7. Chess - we have a lovely chess board my wife gave me years ago and I will try and persuade her to play with me (chess that is...)
8. Cupboards - there are enough clothes and shoes in this house to clothe the 5000. Some haven’t seen the light of day for years - time for a clear-out. This will be traumatic- my wife is not good at parting with old garments.
9. Proper cooking - last night we made delicious home-made Italian-style meatballs in tomato sauce (wife vetoed the ragu as didn’t want to eat pasta in the evening).
10. Video calls with friends and family.
11. Overdue home maintenance tasks such as re-seal the kitchen worktops (which are walnut and need redoing every so often) and properly polish the dining table with beeswax.
12. Clean both cars - the Fiat badly needs clay-barring.

Might do some decorating. Will have to get on the exercise bike as the pool is shut - we're doing a bit more walking but the swimming is more than 2k calories per week so there's some slack to take up. Read more.

If I end up isolating, I intend to play a lot of Doom, build a bike or two and remove the swirl flaps from my car. Maybe a bit of DIY, but I do that all the time anyway.

I'm on the farm until the end of April. The pub being shut is a good excuse to cut down on my booze intake. Let's see if I lose any more weight.

A long list of jobs to work through should I need to self isolate. Currently still working until the point one of us in the house starts to show symptoms or inadvertently comes into contact with anyone else who does. There's no shortage of things to do here.

Looking for the steering wheel bits I think I still have here somewhere, might get LFS and GP Legends out for a spin or two. Fully expecting a spin or two as it has been more than a little while. Other things first.

I bought c25sq mtrs of loft flooring so that is one job that will keep me busy for a while.
Plenty of other jobs to do about the house including moving a lot of the contents of the garage into the loft once its floored. Unfortunately all the wiring in the loft runs over the tops of the joists so I will need to chisel out a channel in about 50 places and there is lots of pipework that is going to stop a nice run of boards.
Once that's done it will be the garden, hedge cutting, tree trimming and fence painting.
Our Doctor neighbour has just been tested again for Covid-19 and has tested negative so she is going back to work. However the bad news is that she reckons we will be in this state of limbo for at least 6 months.

Do you have headroom for the loft legs (they're similar to the legs on the bottom of kitchen units) that you can get from B&Q? I think they're adjustable.

We do but I looked at the legs they had in B&Q and they are very high even at their lowest setting. If I could find some that were only about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch that might work. Alternatively I could buy some thin timber to glue on to the top of the joists, leaving gaps for the wires and then screw the boards down on top of that - that's all on the basis that I can actually get the timber or small legs!

..... that's all on the basis that I can actually get the timber or small legs! Hurry up and get down to B&Q before they run out of timber due to panic buying. It doesn't grow on trees you know....

B&Q in Kirkcaldy appeared to be fully stocked in all departments yesterday so I'm sure you'll be able to get wood (snigger).

I’ve got some car cleaning stuff as noticed it was low when I cleaned and waxed the summer wheels on Sunday. I can’t see work getting any quieter in the next couple of weeks, but a proper spring clean and polish is the first thing I’ll do if I get any time.

Amazing how many clean cars and freshly-mown lawns there are in the village. Mrs 12th reckons domestic violence will be on the up, too. I'll keep my head down...
Office decorated - should have done it years ago.

There's a huge list of things to do here:- Decorate all rooms Rip out the old kitchen and put a new one in (the new one is already in the garage but there are no appliances or worktop!)
Cut down some trees and bushes Remove about 500 metres of fence Shift a huge mound of earth to improve the view (it'll be a bummer if it turns out to be a thin layer of soil with rock underneath) Take away a swing set and wooden climbing frame complete with ropebridge and wooden hut on stilts Remove the fencing around what was a chicken coup Remove a dog kennel and enclosed run Wash several cars Mow the grass Prepare for several massive parties once all this is over/under control

There's a huge list of things to do here, but will have to wait until the lockdown is over:- 1) Find a decent kitchen fitter 2) Get a gardener / landscaper 3) Phone the decorator 4) Order a skip 5) Get some food and drink in for a party FYP!

As long as you keep the cages to one inmate, inhabitant per and use social distancing you should be fine....... How you get gruel into the cages is another question. Catapult?
