Lindsay was in the middle when I showed it to her. She said it looked like a lot of fun to drive, but not second car material and if we were looking at a 3rd car it would be a Boxster again.

I'd changed my mind to red but now I'm preferring black again

I went to the Toyota dealership yesterday and will hopefully get a call to test drive their demonstrator soon after it arrives, which is expected to be sometime next week. The salesman said that if I ordered now, expected delivery would be August 2021.
They had a non-metallic white one in the showroom so I had another test-sit.

I saw a red one on the road earlier in the week. They have enormous presence for such a small car.

Here's another video which is best watched by forwarding to the beginning of the track action. The brakes and grip look phenomenal.

I can tell just by looking at the thumbnail that I won't make it through that video. It just screams 'typical Youtube car blog throbber' to me, especially that jacket and trainer combo.

The driver (Johnny/Jonny) was driving around the outside of a 720S and GT3 RS a couple of weeks ago at Silverstone, in an X5M. They were faster down the straights, but he had them beaten under braking and both mid corner and exit speed (with the X5 tyres squealing). He’s pretty handy.

He certainly is. Late braking seems to be his speciality.

He certainly is. Late braking seems to be his speciality. It does which is particularly impressive as he doesn’t seem to need any time at all to learn the car and find the limits.

He certainly can peddle and a great example how even a half decent racer is head and shoulders above us lot in terms of car control.
Having done a number of trackdays at Silverstone it was always popular at the end of the year for racers to do winter trackdays and many had GT4's. They would take car lengths out of me in certain corners. There's me thinking I'm on it and quickly getting schooled that I'd never make it in Racing.

Left foot braking helps these guys a lot and lets them get rid of speed very quickly when things are going wrong. It allows a much smoother transition between power and braking.

Having always driven manual I have never been able left foot brake properly. Heel and Toe I'm ok but is very car dependent. Left foot braking with 3 peddles I just find way to difficult and to be honest when I do try it, I'm a danger to all those around me as I have no peddle modulation. Its why I wouldn't mind having something like an Alpine as my next car as think with 2 peddles learning the art would be a thousand times easier.

Yeah but he's fucked - he bought it from Arnold Clark which automatically means the car will have issues (despite being a reliable Toyota) and that useless bunch of tossers won't be able to fix them properly

Mine is still at the 'processing order' stage and is yet to go into build. I ordered mine (Black, Circuit Pack) on 19 December, the estimated delivery date on my order form says 18 August 2021.

Seems we're not all equal, Harry only ordered his after he had one on test last month. Seems Toyota are keen to get them into the hands of the influencer first.

Yup. They're lending out their demo to anyone it would seem. I was watching one of my MTB vids on Youtube and one of the riders showed up in the GR presser. Admittedly, he is a pro slopestyle rider, but that means nothing to anyone who isn't into bike or a member of the TikTok generation.
