A bit of a come-dowm, a Yaris after a Cayman, surely ?? Addition rather than replacement, if I keep saving... No surprise there - we know you well enough

Black with convenience pack for me please You might struggle there Bryan, they reckon most UK cars will have track pack.

Bravo Toyota. That's a lot of serious engineering for the money. They've even managed to keep the weight sensible.

I just had a look on the configurator.
After a few years of checking mainly BMWs and the occasional Porsche I selected the exterior colour, ignored the safety pack and wheel protectors and, er, that was it, no more options to choose from! How anti-climatic.
I'll have a black one though, please.

Red, with as little FG as possible.

It would have to be red, as it's the only 'colour' available. I really like the concept and having watched a review, it looks great fun, but it wouldn't fit into my life unless it was car number 4+

I've just watched the video Andy shared. That car is a revelation!

Superb. No space in the fleet for one, unfortunately, but the whole concept is a refreshing change from most of what we see now.

I've changed my mind on the colour and would order a red one - with the circuit pack. I think it suits the car much the better.
I will find out when my local dealer is getting a demonstrator and will test-drive at the earliest opportunity, and naturally report my findings here!

What was the last car that got this much want from so many people ?! There's often 'want', but rarely does that translate into a purchase! I know we've covered this before, but what is the most popular forum car so far? I think it was between the GTA and 130i?

If memory serves Martin, Piers and Myself all had a Le Mans Blue 130i at the same time.

I'm certainly not interested in the car because of the way it looks but surely as a man with petrol in their veins the ingredients have got you interested. 4wd, lower roof line, extended arches, lightweight, 250 bhp in a supermini. Its what we've been asking for for years which as Martin points out will mean its probably a sales disaster.

Perhaps if I drove one, I'd change my mind. But as it stands, it's not creating much of a blip on my radar.

Perhaps if I drove one, I'd change my mind. But as it stands, it's not creating much of a blip on my radar. Although it looks neat and purposeful, its desirability is very much rooted in what it does, how it (apparently) feels and its bespoke engineering. Toyota might actually be doing it a disservice by calling it a Yaris. It's likely to be nigh-on perfect for UK roads and perfectly useable as a daily driver. The only issue I can see is the boot size, although split/fold rear seats will help.

Those will be the UK roads though that I almost never drive on though sadly.
As a central London dweller, 95% of my driving is urban or motorway/dual-carriageway. Which is why we have the two cars that we do, and the smaller one is going to need to be electric pretty soon, or it will just become redundant.
