Just announced Pearl jam headlining both nights at Hyde park with the pixies supporting on the first night .That’s very tempting assuming we return to some degree of normality .

How can anyone who doesn't live up a tree in the Amazon get to their late teens without ever once hearing Bohemian fucking Rhapsody? Incredulous! You'd be surprised. A couple of LSII's mates had never heard it before I had it on in the car taking them the cinema last year; 14 year old, white, English kids with the usual acess to the interweb etc so it doesn't surprise me that a couple of black kids who's musical culture is very different won't have heard it. American Made, the 2017 Tom Cruise pic about the Iran-Contra affair. I expected the worst - an all action Tom Cruise effort. But actually it was much better than that. Very cleverly written and put together and proved rather enjoyable.

The Gentlemen - the latest Guy Ritchie movie. Actually pretty good. Yes, we watched it last night and both enjoyed it, some good characters and performances. We watched American Made earlier this year and you're right I enjoyed that as well, even though I'm not a great Tom Cruise fan. |

I saw the Gentlemen a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was pretty good, too. Liked Colin Farrell's character.

That was 2018 then, because his throat was still pretty dodgy when we saw them in Milan later that summer; I think it was Jeff Ament who took over a lot of the vocals for that gig. |

I had a few tears last night hearing about evh ,all I could think of was hearing their first album and thinking wtf is this guy doing on the guitar ? Always thought in rock guitar there was Hendrix then Van halen and they are the standard everyone else aspires to.

No mention of Top Gear yet? I thought it was hilarious, but was rather sceptical about the longevity of the Tesla's battery. It was 7 hours before they refilled and all three cars had barely used any fuel. I thought I'd seen a comment somewhere about the appalling continuity in that "test" vis a vis the damage to the Ovlov being absent in the multi-storey hill climb? |

The Tesla at the end during the conclusion was a different car, too. That was a common occurrence on the previous versions too, though, especially with higher-end cars. |

I still have the replacement for my original, yellow and black jobby and a handful of cassettes. Remembering the annoying noise of the tape being wrapped around the recording/playing head as you realise that damn tape is mostly dead unless you can splice it.
I spotted Dire Straights studio collection in Hasda be yesterday and got it on one of those why not moments, along with the Who Essential. Quite chuffed with that.

Due to the kids’ modern way of watching TV by auto-recording huge numbers of episodes then watching them and skipping the ads I have been made aware of a programme called The Amazing World of Gumball. It’s generally insane garbage but this snippet made me laugh out loud and I watched it five times in a row and still laughed like a drain every time.
