I think that's the kind of car that needs to live in a warm dry country and spend its nights in a heated garage.

Well, we do require to either move house or build a new garage where we are now so the 2nd part of that could be sorted. I think there are enough warm, sunny weekends here to get some use out of it.

A friend of mine restored one of those a few years ago. Sold it to fund a McLaren.

That really is a bit of a bargain. New EV's only work where you have no thoughts of wanting to own it at the end of the hire term. There are 6 to 9 mth old Audi e-tron GTs for sale for mid to high £50K which were £100K new. It's madness.

I think it is definitely more subtle than a Fiesta ST especially in black but it is also a good bit more expensive!

I always keep looking at Yaris GRrrrrs - I could be wrong, but they look like the perfect car for dual use on the road and at the track without having to make much compromise or make track specific mods that ruin road driveability.
Pricey though - I wish I had ordered one originally when Toyota were doing the silly cheap finance deal.

I was hoping the new one would put a dent in the prices of the Mk1 but then I read that demand has been so high buyers are going into a ballot so expect used prices to stay where they are for a while.
I've never driven one but will be lining up a test drive soon. If I get one I'd like it in red.

They will probably fall to low mid twenties in the next year and stay there. With the warranty you could happily run these to 10 years old without issue.

Very nice. I have a client with a 992 turbo and he far prefers it, as a road car, to his previous GTS. It is just a little more compliant for UK roads but still ballistically fast. However I would prefer a nice metallic.

Bit more random but a quick search inspired by listening to Smith and Sniff this morning. Is this possibly the last time we'll see one of these for a grand with the V6 and a valid (albeit short) MoT? www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202404028195026

That does look a bargain, I paid 10K more for a similar aged and near double the mileage QV. Is it a non Comp though? Wasn't aware they did non comps in 2020.

I assume it isn't as it has those wheels, although I actually prefer these ones. Is a standard one a bit of a handful - I remember the Comp being seen as a big improvement on the original F3X versions but I know BMW appear to make improvements over the life cycle

I've just looked at 2019/2020 prices lists and they didn't offer a non Comp from April 2020, so it must have been built late 2019 or early 2020. It's not a basic spec Tim, all the things they mention were options on the standard M4 in the 2019 price list (DCT, HUD, Voodo Headlights, Reversing Camera/Parking Assist, Carbon Trim, Sun Protection Glass). Roughly £3,300 plus £2,645 for the DCT.

Thanks Martin. I had been surprised by the glaring bit of black plastic that was missing a front foglight switch but then realised it shouldn't have any!
Is the button behind the gear selector a gearbox mode switch?
I'm really tempted to go and have a look.

They are the same headlights I had in my 5 series and you don't need fog lights because when you put the rear foglight on the beam pattern changes (more light lower down). The switch adjusts the speed of the changes iirc.

Righto. Just realised its an absolute non-starter. It doesn't have the Harman Kardon stereo upgrade Shocking.
