Very nice indeed. Good enough to replace the Golf? Definitely good enough to replace the Golf, but too similar to my car really, I’d rather have more of a difference between the two cars.

Both of those are very nice though even a dinosaur like myself would most likely take PDK in a 992.
What do you reckon the list price of those cars were when new? The 992 is taking a bit of a bath currently. Not saving 103K is a bargain but can't argue with the bang for buck on offer.

The 992 is taking a bit of a bath currently. Not saving 103K is a bargain but can't argue with the bang for buck on offer. Current list price of the Boxster is £87k and the 992 is £139k. It's another £20k for a 6 month newer PDK I've got on my saved list, but it does have a £150k list price. The 992 is dropping quickly, I'm not too upset that I didn't commit to spending £135k on one 6 months ago. Not that mine will be holding its value...

As we hurtle towards the permanent demise of the ICE I really wonder what will happen to the price of cars like these. I know the two Porsches are now showing some depreciation, which 2 or 3 years ago would never have happened but are these things still going to be worth the same after the ICE cars are no longer in production or will it be like the guy who bought up all the best horses just as the motor car started to take hold of the market?
I suppose I should celebrate that we still have 10+ years left to enjoy these toys before their use is seriously curtailed.

If that happens, then you would just keep it for longer / for as long as you can, so it doesn’t matter that it’s worth. You’re right and you should celebrate by buying a new toy and enjoying it while you can!

My old 2.7 cayman was one of my favorite cars. You could thrash it everywhere as it Hot hatch fast, supple suspension, handled on rails and made an epic noise. In many ways it was better then the GT4 that replaced it.

That is lovely. But there are three nagging doubts for me - Is that a paedo grey interior or pale cream? I can't help thinking how nice Harry's XJC looked until he took it into a specialist who then found loads and loads of hidden rot. If it's as excellent an example as they say, it seems "cheap"... But as a keeper - buy it, spend money (including a leather re-trim maybe) on it and enjoy for ever, yes.

Great value when compared to a 992.

You can get yourself into a 5.0 RHD Mustang for less than 25% of the cost of that Chris. You should.

That is lovely, but I agree that the price is a bit much for a car without the comfort and technology plus packs.

One thing stands out and that's either the photographer's camera has a dirty lens OR the valeter needs sacked!

You really don't! I think they are great. As a daily hack I can't think of much better to sit alongside your more interesting cars. Don't forget the i20N as an alternative.
