When you think you could have Messi for a week or that car for life, there really isn't any comparison. For the avoidance of doubt I would take the car every time.

This: Why don't Honda UK import it? It's made as RHD Because it looks absolutely terrible and no one over here would buy it.

Because the wider UK market isn’t big enough to use up import quota and cover the cost of CoC costs.

That is rather stylish (except maybe the lights) - you can see the 635 shape in there ready to come out. I love the seven instrument layout in front of the driver.

That does look extremely gorgeous. Is it a reflection of the size of the market (i.e. small and pretty specialised / enthusiast based) for these age cars that it is "only" £50k? A lot less than you might pay for any number of 1960s or later cars.

Isn't the Duo Select gearbox one to avoid?

I'll never forget what one of my old workmates, a time served Ferrari/Maserati mechanic, once told me. He said that instead of buying a Maserati, you should just stand on top of a windy hill, throwing £20 notes into the air.
They make Ferrari look like Toyota for reliability.

My daughter said something about how she liked Astons after the new Bond film, which got me looking at their site and the various "specials" - I still love these!!!

I like this one a lot more. Not the signature colours inside (which I prefer), interesting it’s been specced with extra cost red stitching instead. It’s a lot of money for a Boxster though, but list is £81,500 so £12,500 premium, which doesn’t actually seem so bad in the current market. But I think I’d be looking at a late 991.2 GTS for that money. finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB/details/porsche-boxster-25-years-preowned-14ZPGZ

I think I would rather spec a new Boxster GTS and just wait for it instead of putting £12,500 into some speculator's pocket. I agree on the 911 GTS if you can find a decent one. My friend is still looking!

It's a car-azy state to be in.

I like the wheels. The red interior wouldn't be too bad if they did it the same way as BMW, i.e. black dashtop, wheel and carpets. Red everything is just awful but then Porsche don't seem to be very good at 'coloured' interiors IMO.

I just looked at that and if there were a sure fire way of putting you off speccing a colourful interior those pictures are it.

They do offer a Red/Black interior on the normal models, red seats/lower dash/lower and middle doors cards and black carpets/upper dash/upper doors/steering wheel

Bordeaux red never photographs well, but is nice when not overdone / covering every surface.

Hold the press, is that a manual gearbox? I thought such things had been banished from all but the most special cars?

Hold the press, is that a manual gearbox? I thought such things had been banished from all but the most special cars? It is a manual gearbox and no. You can still get a manual with all engines in the Boxster/Cayman range, as well as the 911 in S and GTS flavour plus the GT3 of course.
