I've got 3 of those petrol cans in my garage and one of them is even red, although not shiny like that one. I'll sell it to you for £1k

I'll exchange it for a K, she is quite a bit of trouble, being a sister.

If only for the ability to give a fabulous answer to the question "what do you drive?"

Does it run caster oil, and if so do drivers suffer from the same unfortunate side effects that WW1 pilots did?

Lovely but is that the normal sort of price for one of those?
If it's really an ex-press car I'd run a mile.

I believe there are only a handful of those cars on the road so it is rarity value. I have no idea on its true value.

I believe there are only a handful of those cars on the road so it is rarity value. I have no idea on its true value. They are rare, and XKR prices do seem to have got silly recently, but even so £41k for a 2010 XKR, ruined by the added chavness. No thanks. You could have this instead - same age, same-ish miles, straight XKR, "only" £27k. It even has the ebony suede-cloth headlining. www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202106183970498

That is lovely...... and then I saw the price!! That's got to be an easy way to lose £30k over a couple of years

That's got to be an easy way to lose £30k over a couple of years Agreed, that is very nice indeed and a great spec (full leather, suedecloth headlining etc), but will depreciate like a stone and not sure who's choose aluminium trim with that interior. The BRG paint is super rare because it's a £4,600 option, I think list price for that spec will be £80k ish and you can get 15% off a Velour so it should be under £70k inc deposit contribution for a factory order. So it is expensive.

For myself, they were the best of the XJS series. A grancoupe before they ever were.

That's a rather attractive conversion. And not too silly money either.

Almost madness not to. I believe 'Suggs might like it too.

We came back from Wembley last night in a 18-plate S-class which had all manner of FG in the back - pillowy soft reclining seats and blinds side, rear and above. My wife was much taken with it, particularly the cushioned ride comfort and commented that it would be lovely to have such a comfortable and luxurious car. And it's true that my car feels positively spartan by comparison.

And it's true that my car feels positively spartan by comparison. I've been driven in the back of an Executive Rear Seat equipped S Class a few times and it's very nice, but the rear seats in the 7 series are more comfortable and even more adjustable. The Nappa leather isn't high quality looking in the S Class either, the seats are fine but the door panels/dash etc looks like they are covered in embossed pleather which doesn't look great. A decent exec saloon on air suspension is a wonderful thing to travel in though, whether it's an S Class or 7 Series. Mine had massage, tablet control, screens etc as well, which was an option. That won't be the same on the facelifted cars though as they don't come with Comfort Rear Seats as standard so no recline/memory or pillows. The Executive Lounge seats in the M760 are the same as the comfort seats in terms of shape, adjustability, pillows etc but have additional leg support and heated armrests as well as the central unit.

My one regret with my car is not forking out for the Individual merino leather and leather dash - it really raises the interior ambience. At the time it added over £2k to the price and about three months to the delivery time, so I went for head over heart. But had I known I'd keep this car so long, I'd have not hesitated.

They have a pretty 456GT manual in my colours too. But then you read: "This 1995 LHD example is finished in Verde Silverstone with a great combination of a stunning tan interior. It was delivered new in Italy and was later sold to the UK where it was purchased by its current owner in 2018 who spend more than £12k on maintenance at HR Owen Ferrari. Another £14k spent in 2020"

Yeah. When I looked at the E34 M5 Touring the previous three years of maintenance was eye watering and it just looked like it was an every year set of numbers.
