I stand corrected Martin. I only knew because i was looking at colour options earlier and found the price list. Not a single one for sale on autotrader with the caramel interior.

I have to say that I am very pleased with my interior colour especially with the piano black. In a car with no sunroof and black headlining it brightens up the interior enormously. I just give the leather a clean every 4-5 months with Dr Leather wipes and then apply Dr Leather Dye block - 15 minutes max and I get 5 months of clean seats. They are also wonderfully supportive and soft but the best part is that the back rest is split in two so that you can bring the top half of the back forward and wrap the seat wings round your shoulders. The best seats i have sat in ever.

The M5 seats are excellent. Pretty much the same level of adjustment as mine, maybe not quite as comfortable but a lot more supportive and I particularly like the shoulder support. Agree with you about how good being able to adjust the top part of the backrest is, makes a big difference to long distance comfort as does the height of the backrest.
I watched a video review of the X3M and it was suggested that the poor ride quality was at least partly down to hard seats and it it had the same seats as the M5 it would be as comfortable. That was compared to the Competition version, not the standard model.

I can cope with a black leather interior provided it has brown wood trim to provide a colour contrast.
Likewise I don't mind light interiors if they are a warm colour like beige or cream, but I do struggle to understand why so many people appear to like white or light grey leather and to have the interiors of their cars in what your printer would call "greyscale" - black and varying shades of white, grey and silver.
It's a particular problem if you are partial to a darker blue BMW, as I am, since I seem to be one of the few people who doesn't think that the ideal interior in a mid-dark blue BMW, particularly a schporty one, is light grey or white leather. I don't greatly care for white leather on boats, let alone cars. Just seems awfully "Phillip Green".

It's not that bad: And it's certainly not going to make me go out and get a superyacht as I refuse to pay people's pension contributions.

I like lots of variety in seat colour. Apart from paedo grey - that's right out. And steering wheels and dash tops must be black. Then it's all down to how the color looks on the tunnel, seat cards and lower dash. I'd really like the tunnel and lower dash to be black too, but that seems quite rare now with other than black seats.

The white leather works on M5, but agree it doesn’t work on a 3/4 series. It different as well, smoked white vs opal white, which take the edge off the brightness.

My mother had an XF with a cream interior and it aged horribly.

My brother in law's 530d has beige leather with wood trim and it's aged atrociously, although in its defence it has done 190k miles over the last 17 years! It also has the so-called comfort seats (as opposed to the standard fit discomfort seats?) which have the split backrest function - and it still works. I had them in my E39 530d as well but I never really saw the point.

Cream Beige (not Beige!) with Anthracite Bamboo trim. Proper drivers car too, with a 6 speed manual..... I've not always had black interiors, my 2000 Bora and 2006 Passat both had light/black interiors, the cars in-between were black but I didn't order them from new.

For only slightly more you could have a new Alfa Romeo Guilia GTA.

That's beautiful and, I suspect, rather more expensive than a Giulia GTA.
I see where BMW got the inspiration for the new style of M Sport steering wheel.

If I can recall my tv trivia, that is the full Dallas special is it not? Jennifer Hart’s from Hart to Hart.

That’s getting close to the lightly used 720s for a couple of weeks ago. Crazy.

Slight concern that there is no mention of the state of the fabric roof at all and no pictures of the car with the hardtop removed. If it stays around that price that's fair enough but needs to have a few quid spent on it.

That's nice and at £7k seems like a low risk as long as the underneath is solid.
I find this comment from the ad funny "Over the last 12 years, he has enjoyed nearly 6,000 miles behind the wheel". He hasn't enjoyed it much then has he?

He hasn't enjoyed it much then has he? Wasn't it on Cyprus? Not the biggest place - probably just used to bimble around for high days and holidays.

I suppose some of the time it might've been too hot & sunny compared to a modern with ultra efficient aircon too. Isn't that quite a rare colour for these as well?
