Its promoted as an all-new car but heavily based on the previous one, and using the modern look-alike styling Not sure what is up with Ford in the last few years or so, however their cars are so bland.

Petrol engines aren't going anywhere - they will become hybrids though with the battery part of the propulsion becoming more significant. Yep, through all the fanfare regarding electric only from 2040, I believe the small print also allows hybrids.

... another new-shape Fiesta, this time on the road instead of parked. The unusual shape of the DRL's on a small car makes it stand out as a Fiesta Saw one a few days ago, it is just another heavy facelift (looks like it); if so then the Fiesta is getting on a bit now? RR Velar, what a fantastic looking car.

I agree with Bob. It was being moved between sites. Probably PDI, plates, etc then back to the compound for storage. Definately this, I'm on holiday at the moment, however I when I get back to work on Saturday, l wouldn't be surprised to find we'd had load of September cars delivered, they will pdi'd and then driven to a compound, out of the way until delivery in a few weeks time.

After 2 months driving the Ranger I have only today realised that because it weighs over 2040kg it has to comply with the LCV speed limits on NSL roads. Every day's post will be met with trepidation for a few weeks. These mixed up speed limits are a right shambles. The odd thing is, a small van such as a Traffic or Transporter, has a maximum limit of 60mph on a dual carriageway (car is 70), 50 on a single carriageway (car is 60) but still 70mph on a motorway, however if it is a camper van (no heavier than 3.05 tonne, unladen) the limit on a dual carriageway and single carriageway are the same as that of a car. The weight thing of no more than 3.05 tonne for a camper is strange as most Trafic and Vivaro vans are either 2.7 or 2.9 tonne maximum weight, so why can a heavier camper, legally go quicker on single and dual carriageway?

My home contents insurance renewal came through a few days ago, it's gone up by a few quid a month, I only paid about £15 per month and thought that was fine for the level of cover, I've always just kept it as is for the last few years and let it auto re-new as £15 per month is nothing.
For some reason I decided to have a look about on comparison sites, well fuck me, I can get the same level of cover for just over £60 for the year, compared to £181 for my re-newal, I've never even made a claim with my current insurer.
Looks like I'll be switching.

On Tuesday the most hiddeous Gemballa style (not sure if it was Gemballa but it was that look) Cayenne, however it didn't stop there, it had a gold glitter paint job, truly horrendous and how anyone can drive that without a hint of embarrassment, is beyond me!

It will be interesting to see how this all pans out, I do think we are on the cusp of a huge leap forward in terms of tecnological progress as all manufacturers will be coming on board and investing.
Charging could be an issue, I can't charge at home, however there are now charge points being installed in lamp posts, which will help greatly, but there needs to be more transparency amongst differing charge point companies and also a standard charging type across the board.
I'm sure there were similar murmerings when the first ICE cars appeared.

Samsung Galaxy Gear S3 here; after initially being a bit sceptical about Smart Watches I think I am converted, it does enough for me in terms of functionailty, particularly with excercise and I love the built in GPS, it was interesting mapping my dog walk yesterday, even though it had to be cut short due to my 18yo struggling at 1.5 miles going up an (admittedly very steep) incline!!

Saw it on Saturday, what a film and filmed amazingly; the tension and atmosphere portrayal was phenomenal, it was so gripping from start to finish, I don't think I have ever been in a full screen before and not heard a mumour from anyone watching, everyone was silent thoughout.
I have aheard a few people were dissapointed as they were expecting more of a Saving Private Ryan type film; more action and blood and gore etc, I didn;t kno wwhat to expect, however I most certainly wasn't dissapointed.
I love the way that it was shot from 3 different perspectives, at first it was a tad confusing but it became clear quite quickly.
Christopher Nolan definately earned is £20 million + 20% of the profits.

Not sure if we are getting the Alaskan in the UK, it has been threatened for a number of years and then all goes quiet.

I have a normal wallet from Aspinal of London (a fathers day present from the eldest), yes it gets bulky at times but only because of receipts and general crap that I fill it with; I have a clearout every so often.
I'm afraid to say that I have a "man bag", generally I only use it for work and if I need to pick up a few things from town though, normally the wallet either goes in my back pocket or the wifes bag, if we have to travel light I leave the wallet at home and take just a card with me, I'm not really a cash man.
As for the phone wallet things, I'm not that keen; if I were to lose my phone (unlikely as I have never done so in the past but there is always a first time) I have then lost my cards, plus I like my phone as thin as possible so only have slim cover on it, I don't like the look of the flip cover ones either.

Apparently there was some F1 demo in London at which Ricciardo did doughnuts. However, Hamilton didn't go as he was having a short holiday in Greece. Fair enough but then reading something else, courtesy of the BBC website, makes me realise again that Da Ham is a knob. " Lewis Hamilton says he does not know whether he is loved at home as much as he loves his country. Ahead of the British Grand Prix, the triple world champion says he hopes people are starting to see his patriotism as he chases another title with Mercedes" The words of a very insecure man, and given there was an F1 demo in London a few days ago, the very London that is the capital city of his birth country and also his home GP; which is this weekend, one would assume he would have been more than happy to attend, however he was the only current driver who didn't go as he decided to hang out with his "homies" instead; perhaps they love him more!! He really doesn't help himself sometimes.

Thing is of you have enough money and a bit of a hankering for your youth then I can see this going for that sort of money.
I remember them as the ultimate hot hatch of their time (my youth), if I had stupid money then yes I probably would buy one at that money, along with a phase 2 Clio V6 and and Megane R26R (both going for silly money); last of the ultimate, no compromise, not diluted "analogue", hot hatches.

My dad was terrible about electrics and not switching the mains off, I remember once asking him to help me with a new light fitting, he said he would do it and "don't worry about switching the mains off".
He is up the ladder and says "can you pass me the.....OH FUCK THAT HURT" as he is waving his hand about "can you turn the mains off!"
Years ago we had a house rabbit and unbeknown to us it has chewed a hole in the flex of our hoover, one day I was merrily hoovering and the next moment I'm waking up on the floor with the youngest leaning over me asking why I'm asleep, and there is a burning sensation on the underside of my foot.
I had stood, barefoot, on the exposed wires whilst hoovering and the shock had knocked me out and thrown me to the floor.

Great Wall Steed? i get your point though. Quite a few manufacturers are doing his in cars as well. My colleague just got a Mercedes A class and found it had a Renault engine! Oh my god is he ok, I bet he is horrified to find something French in his precision engineered German car.

The Mercedes Citan is a Kangoo, I believe the new Vito is based on the Renault Trafic/Vauxhall Vivaro/Fiat Talento.
I think that the Transit is the Transit and nothing else.

Is that the SEAT version of the Audi Q2 thing that you rarely see? I see alot of them and apparently Audi can't build enough, however they are shocking looking and proof that the correct badge on any old turd, will sell. As for the Arona, the side profile is very Captur, however with lines as opposed to curves. It is a good looking car and will likely do well, but SEAT seriously need to sort their interiors out. And VAG seriously need to sort out their radar cruise sensor; in this case it is a big slab of plastic on the lower grille, much like other VAG cars, at least Renault disguise it within the diamond and you can't see it.

Incidentally, did anyone hear that quip from Alonso when they pointed out some kind of technical success for the McLaren over the radio (I think it was that they wouldn't run out of fuel) "Ah, guys: we could have been challenging to win the race!" I pissed myself laughing. I didn't hear it, however after not being an Alonso fan in the past, I'm really warming to his recent (last year or 2), more laid back, chilled and humorous attitude.
