Fish finger butties, on white with ketchup. Sardines on toast. Meat and potato pie butties with brown sauce.

It's usually older VAG cars with a mechanical diesel pump. The owners turn the pump up past where is practical and the pump dumps more fuel in than can be burned.
No smoke, no poke apparently.

173k down and still going. Admittedly, it needed a new DPF and complete removal of the pesky swirl flaps, but it has a fresh MOT, runs like a dream and even now has a smashing set of genuine Aero alloys and tyres for the bargain price of nowt. I was thinking about selling once the MOT was renewed and buying something dieselly, estatey and automatic-y, but seeing as I've just thrown nearly 300 quid and a few hours of my own time at it, I may as well hang on for a bit.

On the subject of TGT, I noticed in the title sequence a white Sierra Cosworth being drifted round a corner, yet it never featured in any of the episodes. I was looking forward to some old skool Ford action as well.

I though a Gran Coupe was the one in between a regular hatch and the swoopy not-quite-an-estate?

Yes, but if you don’t want a boxy estate and a saloon isn’t practical..... But what if the saloon isn't practical enough but the slopey not-quite-an-estate is too practical? They need to throw another niche model inbetween.
Quick! Get Mercedes on the phone, I've got an idea.............
...oh wait, that's just a hatchback.

That's one of the cars I never got. You buy an estate (usually) because you want practicality, so why buy an estate that's a less practical version of the similarly sized estate already in the range?
And it looked like it had been bent in the middle.
The biggest issue I have with is it that it looks like a Hearse. I don’t think the practicality was an issue because you had the E Estate for that, it was more of a hatchback version in my view. Should have been ideal for me last time around, but the terrible front seats and styling meant it was a non starter. I did really like the facelift of the last model CLS though. That kind of proves my point. If you want a large Mercedes estate, you buy the E Class, not the CLS.
The problem I have with a lot of niche cars is that they are too close in nature to other vehicles in the range. Choice is always a good thing, but the boundaries are being blurred more and more between models.

But every now and then mixed among the ugly and hideous a little star is born like the old CLS Estate.

Mercedes are to blame for this whole niche thing remember? 4 door coupe versions of 4 door saloons, followed by estate versions of said 4 door coupes when an estate version of the 4 door saloon is already available. BMW and Audi had to follow suit just to keep up.
Easy money for them: Build a car very similar to one they already build, tell the people that they want it and the people will buy it.

None of them, because they fail on at least one of the first 2 letters every time. Not much is sporty or utilitarian about them. If I wanted to go fast and carry stuff, I wouldn't be buying a nearly 3 tonne land yacht on stilts.

As per usual with these things, I don't see the point of it. Unless you want a Cayenne with less boot space and possibly less headroom for (I expect, knowing Porsche) more outlay.
A fool and his money...

Is it wrong that I knew what that was going to sound like before I clicked the link? Good to hear a female vocalist being just that: A female vocalist. Too many of them try to emulate or compete with male vocalists and just end up sounding shit. (I'm looking at you, Lizzy Hale of Halestorm)

Also implies that the previous three series he has featured in were watched... In dribs and drabs. Joey Tribbiani made it watchable at times, but no matter who they get to do it, it can't recreate the camararderie and general laddish pisstaking of the original 3.
Plus, I dislike Harris as a journo, let alone as a presenter.

£26k for a Yaris. TWENTY SIX THOUSAND POUNDS.
I genuinely thought the brown Polo was a Golf until he said it was a Polo.
Still undecided about the Fiesta, but at least it's still available as a 3 door with a manual gearbox.

Just to clarify, the white one in the video is dodgy. The blue one is correctly registered and legal. I don't understand the reasons why it has been done, but it's not my car and not my money.

Dodgy. Still registered as a 1.9 diesel - the only reason to do so is for tax or insurance fraud. It's not like it's massively difficult or expensive to re-register the thing with the DVLA.

I watched the reveal of the Koeniggsegg Jesko on youtube. Out of all the hypercars, Koeniggsegg are the only ones that actually do anything for me: They seem to genuinely enjoy advancing the cause of the internal combustion engine and the engineering surrounding it. There's a sense of "doing things just to see if it can be done" and I admire that a lot. They're aiming for 300mph, which will be a massive achievement in itself, if not only because it will well and truly give Bugatti the hump - like when Koeniggegg showed up mere weeks after the Chiron was launched and annihilated the top speed record without even using their most powerful car. Admittedly, virtually no one is ever going to hit 300, but the engineering needed to reach that speed is fascinating and should be applauded.
